I’ve been an active member of the community since 2004 during the Bungie.net years.
Was once in a clan with Lukems called 7TBG7 (TBG meant “The Brute Ghostbusters”)
Halo has encompassed and enhanced almost half of my life thus far for the past 20 years.
I’ve ran a full Halo 5 Company to completion of the Achilles Armor Set and loved the comraderie.
I’m an FFA fiend and am sad to see its popularity waning.
The hype prior to release of Halos 2 and 3 still have yet to be matched.
I used to go 25-0 in FFA matches back in H2 and H3 however I can no longer keep up with the new generation of up-n-coming youngsters. Amazed by their level of hand/eye coordination coupled with the reflexes of youth (oh how I miss my own).
I used to be friends with some folks from an old site called “nightly.net” whose members formed Clan Nighlty. Most people won’t know this, but nightly.net spawned what became known online as the Ascendant Justice forums where, for a time, I was lucky to count myself as friend among many of ťhe leaders of that community including “cocopjojo” and “(Mr)Vociferous”. I’ve of course lost touch with most of them once they were headhunted by 343 to be hired as writers due to their absolute encyclopedic knowledge of Halo Lore and their abilities to decipher vast amounts of Halo knowledge. This is about as close to any sort of claim to fame regarding the History of Halo that I can muster.
I’ve experienced so many of the good and bad parts of Halo since the age of 25 and I look forward to many more years of enjoying the game that started it all for FPS’s on consoles.
