Zooming in with the needler, pulse carbine, and plasma pistol increases their red reticle range. This further extends their tracking capabilities and lethality at longer ranges. Is this intentional? If so, it negates the risk of engaging enemies at closer ranges to be rewarded with a quick kill. Make the red reticle range a fixed distance, that way it will not be affected by scoping in. Also, does anyone know if there is a dedicated thread about sandbox suggestions/fixes?

Zooming has increased rr range since CE.
Agreed, ADS’s benefits are bad for the sandbox, it does this for all the weapons, not just those three.
Actually it seems to happen whit every weapon that are designed for short-mid range, like AR or pistol, being pointless picking a BR or a Comando.

I am aware that it has been a thing since CE but, only scoped (BR, CE Magnum, Carbine, Sniper Rifle, Beam Rifle, DMR, etc.) weapons have been able to use this feature. It would only increase the effective range of bullet magnetism for scoped weapons only. My concern is with how zooming in increases the effective range of TRACKING on these specified weapons, and how it makes them lethal at ranges where they should be ineffective.

The needler, pulse and plasma aren’t op at all. You really need to time your shots. Especially with the pulse carbine.
It has heavy projectile bloom and can only 2 burst if all shots hit. The needler takes 12 of the 26 shot to supercombine. That’s more than any other halo. Plasma is practically useless unless you’re charging.
