Zombies can't sprint, spartan charge, ground pound

… but they can use auto-stabilizers, zoom with smart-link, and thrust? Why not just remove all the spartan abilities for the zombies, and just let the survivors have all the spartan abilities for infection? I also wonder how powerful the thrust will be (as a zombie), will it be as powerful as the Halo 4 Flood thrusters?

Was this mentioned in the CU?

I hope they have increased jump height, otherwise Spartans can just clamber to higher ground and the zombies can’t clamber after them

I believe last week’s CU

Here you go.

  1. Find a big loop on a map that you can sprint through easily.
  2. Sprint in a long, wide circle faster than a zombie can chase you down.
  3. ???
  4. Profit!

It looks like the Infection versions of maps are going to be blocked up with barricades and that will reduce sprinting.

It makes sense for zombies to have thrust in my opinion. The other two are because in halo 5, smart scoping significantly increases the energy swords lunge range. To add to this, jumping then stabilizing will open your lunge range to heights that would previously have only been reached by clamber.

I’m open to this change until I see it in action

They never said they wouldn’t have sprint.

But if they don’t, I’m sure they’ll have slightly increased movement speed.

Is running actually a spartan ability

Sprint is counted as a Spartan Ability in this game. Scope, or as they like to call it, Smart-Link/Smart-Scope/totally not ADS is also is a Spartan Ability for some reason.

I feel like sprinting is super necessary unless they have ridiculous movement speed as infected.

You guys raise another great point that I forgot, which is CLAMBERING… if zombies can’t clamber anymore, they probably won’t be able to touch any survivors unless they have increased jump height… unless the map has new debris and ramps all over the place to assist the zombies.

If zombies can’t even climb, then I believe this could be very broken. Would be way to easy to kill zombies trying numerous times to jump up to a platform.

Can you imagine how awful infection would be if zombies could charge?

It’s ADS…

I’m sure it’ll be customizable.

With this, infected can jump off of a hovering other and get the height they need.

Now… Having a sword out by default gives the user a speed boost. And with a quicker speed, sprint-thrusting will be more effective for infected. How much, we don’t know. This is because the Infected Sword is a modified Prophet’s Bane. We complained enough in the beta that to counter the blade’s large real estate on screen, we also got permanent active cloak. Now it’s the same hilt, default blade, so anything is possible.
If the boost is anything like Prophet’s Bane, oh yes, sprint-thrustering will be uber-effective, and being infected will be fun!

I love Halo4’s Flood, but I do/did have issue with always being a “sword-wielder”. I’m hoping the Flood Blade is its own weapon and we can tweak individual attributes to make both old and new gametypes within the general rules.
Don’t need it in Arena but in Warzone??? Oh hell ya. Damage resistance buff, speed buff and jump buff, plus the “pestilence” effect at all times.

It isn’t fair to jump to the conclusion that 343 have messed this up. Play the gamemode before claiming that attributes are wrong. I know you’re just raising points for discussion because they might be strange, but be a bit more optimistic.

Flying death lunge zombies, oh boy…
