I’m wondering, if the Halo 4 EVG took the time to flesh-out such an arguably small detail from a single level in Halo 4 in a strangely thourough and detailed description, could this indicate that the Z-330 Forerunner Escort may be seen once again in Halo 5: Guardians?
Small possibility at best, but I think that this vehicle looks absolutely awesome and I can only imagine the entertainment of fighting them on foot rather than flying past them in a Broadsword.
Here’s an article on Halopedia for those who don’t know what it is.
Never noticed them, where exactly did they show up while you were flying the broadsword? During the initial part where you flew and dodged the ships moving parts? Or after the Didact’s ship reached Earth and you had to make an entry into the hull?
I think they’re actually floating around the chamber the composer is in, only really seeable wen you’re flying to it.

You sir are correct. My initial thought back in November of 2012 was that it was a Sentinel carrier. It seems I wasn’t to far off of its real purpose.
you could be right, but assuming can be dangerous. often things that have minor roles in games get detailed lore justifications written about them.
When building a world, you explain pretty much every aspect of everything, then only show a small part. that way, everything makes sense and fits together, and you know it, and because you know that you can make the world feel more credible without directly spelling out how it works in the story. people can just sorta tell that things are meant to be the way they are.
I know for a fact that many indie game writers with short games and minimalist storytelling often plan out a huge amount of the lore behind the world they’re making, just so they have an actual guideline for what they’re doing.
