It’s finally happened. My hate for the way 343 handled the multiplayer in H5 has surpassed my love for Master Chief and Cortana. First and foremost, I’m stuck at rank 146 with God-knows-how-many more nightmare games I have to play to get to the next rank. When I say “nightmare games,” I am talking about those games that continue to lag me until I rage-quit, and then I’m banhammered when I rage-quit enough times. The banhammer is the next thing that pisses me off. Why should I get penalized for quitting when my entire team quits out before me? And, I stay because I think I can beat them (which I have on occasion), but I can’t get any kills because of the lag? Games where I’m shooting the enemy 6, 7, or 8 times in the head and don’t die, but I get killed with 3 hits. That was happening a lot right before the latest reset. And that brings me to the next thing that pisses me off. I played so hard to get to Platinum and Diamond, only to lose it all when this POS resets. I used to come on and play so much with my fireteam, but even they don’t even play that much anymore with me in Arena Slayer. Seriously, what’s the point of putting all that effort into achieving Diamond rank (or higher) when it gets taken away from you after a few months? I have over 208 unopened Reqs and almost 2 million Req points. I don’t see the purpose of those, because they don’t do anything for me. On top of the lag, I couldn’t even get out of Gold during the entire time prior to this reset. With all things supposedly being equal playing multiplayer on 343’s servers, it seems awfully blatant that there’s server advantage to certain players. I’ve also noticed different play speeds between opponents, and moves that are impossible, like clamboring and shooting at the same time. I’ve gotten killed like that a few times where I’m meleeing an enemy while he’s clamboring, and he’s shooting me while doing it, then kills me with a melee of his own. Getting back to the lag, it prevents me from thrusting or ducking when I’m getting shot at. I can’t sprint when I’m getting shot at (but apparently everyone else can when I’m shooting at them!). And the best part is when they’re shooting at me from all the way across the map AND CONNECTING WITH EVERY SHOT EVEN WHEN I’M AT FULL SPRINT, SLIDING, JUMPING, AND THRUSTING (or at least trying to)!! I can’t lunge with the sword or hammer when I’m thisclose to the enemy and I end up getting killed by an assault rilfe. My frag nades don’t explode either, and when they do, they don’t kill anybody! Does anybody else experience this or is it just me, because I know for a fact that 343 can change the performance code on any given player. They did that to me right before last Christmas when I wrote that I would not purchase any more Halo games or buy any more Xboxes if I don’t get to Diamond before the end of the end. Lo and behold, I got to Diamond within a week, after I was struggling for months to get there prior to me posting that thread. Then, when everyone started deranking, I stayed at Diamond the entire time while my fireteammates were deranking, dropping from Diamond/Platinum to Platinum/Gold. Nope, I stayed at Diamond for a full 2 weeks until the next reset, even when I was losing right along with my fireteammates. Nope, I’m done. I won’t be putting the same amount of time into playing H5 multiplayer anymore until I eventually stop playing altogether. I’ll come on occasionally if it pleases me to do so, but if I start noticing the same -Yoink- that caused me to write this post, then this franchise is going to lose a paying customer forever. 343, I have you to thank for taking my love for Master Chief, Cortana and the multiplayer matches, and turning it into utter hatred. #1 try a hard reset also use a wired connection for your Xbox if you can that should help with lag. #2 they nurfed the ban hammer if other players quit before you. The ban hammer is quite soft if you are getting banned odds are you are earning them. Also SR isn’t really rank. Its an XP level. You gain XP no matter what win or lose so all you really have to do is complete games to gain it.
I want to know where my love for reading super long unbroken paragraphs went, because it’s clearly not here right now.

Yeah no. That’s not how that works. At all.
