YouTube or a match?

If I watch a video on YouTube that is the equal amount of time playing a match which one would use more data?

The debate between a friend and myself ends with your input.

I do not understand the question, OP. Please elaborate, if you can?

Well a match uses data up from the plan provided by your ISP to play the game and YouTube uses the data up also downloading the video to watch. So basically which one uses more bandwidth.

Oh okay, then Youtube would use more bandwidth…

Hard to say as Halo uses your upload and download. It has to use both to constantly update everyone involved in the game of every one elses position. I would think Halo uses more bandwidth taking both into account.
Not a net wizard though so I could easily be wrong.
