As a Halo veteran (Which means nothing really) i’ve seen, commented on and survived every release of Halo.
This weird phenomenon is nothing new to me. The vocal minority come out of the desert and complain about the smallest and most insignificant of things.
They complain the game is too much of the same thing and then they complain that its changing too much. (logically speaking, do you see the issue there?)
However i now ask you, the community as a whole, this question.
Why are you entitled to Halo?
The real answer is that you’re not. You, or someone you know has bought the game for you because they can, not because they must. And it is on this line of logic that i must point out that screaming or complaining about any factor of the game means nothing when your best friend, colleague, sibling, or pen pal over seas has a differing yet equally valid opinion.
(For those of you playing at home, i just said that because your opinion is different to someone else’s, or because it corresponds with a ‘trend’ in the forum, it does not mean that its more valid than another)
This self entitlement has to stop. The game is for everyone to enjoy so if someone has a different opinion about the DMR being overpowered, or the game is too much like CoD than respect their opinion move on. Yes you can disagree with them but do it in a respectful manner.
<mark>TL:DR</mark>
You’re the real reason as to why the community is degrading. At the same time, you’re the one who can fix it to. You are, by yourself not entitled to Halo. It is made for everyone so act like a community and show it support.
Post in the relevant forums, stop taking up space for the bigger issues at hand, (yes i’m aware im being hypocritical here) and respect your fellow community member. They will be controlling how many times they -Yoink!- your corpse.
