You're opinion on req points

I personally do not think they give either enough req points or armor out for the work you put in to the game they should either lower the cost of the packs or up the point output or make it possible so that you don’t keep getting garbage war zone junk with each req pack… you’re thoughts people??

Win armors and guns was better with ranks. In my opinion…

RP is primarily for WZ equipment, so you will get more rp in WZ. On average I get 4,800 rp in WZ per game, which is more than enough for a gold pack (once you have everything gold packs are net 4k rp points), vs 800 rp in Arena. You want rp get into the WZ.

I have an opinion on req points, but I am not an opinion on req points.

Personally I’m okay with it. The amount seems okay to me. If you find yourself running low, you should follow Matador’s advice and use RP boosts if you have them to turn out the most points. Oh, and remember finish silver’s before you start going gold.

I prefer reachs way where you rank up and buy armor with credits but that’s just me opinion the halo 4/3 way was good too

I don’t have any strong feelings for nor against it. I’m with others in that I’d prefer armors and emblems be unlocked in other manners. My thoughts on that:
> Armors and Emblems are unlocked through achievements/commendations only
> Armors and Emblems can be purchased through RP like Reach’s credits
> Common through Rare armors and emblems can be found in packs, Ultra Rare and Legendary unlocked through achievements/commendations

That’s how I’d like to see it in Halo 6. The rarer aesthetic stuff is obtained by working for it rahter than gambling for it, the less-rare aesthetic stuff can be bought outright or found in packs.

Armour pieces should be earned and should reflect the players achievement. Random rewards make everyone equal and rewarded for nothing. The Req system is good for weapons in Warzone i guess but not for Armour.
There should be specific Armour for campaign related stuff, for grinding certain things, and for bloody hard to do things like get killionares, perfections ect.

I wish the cosmetics was removed from pool of randomness.

  • Emblems all unlocked by default - Specific pieces of armour unlocked by achievements or hitting a certain rank (friendlier way to grind) - Custom weapon skin customisation option

I’m fine with Req points, though I’d prefer less prayers to RNGesus.

You reward RP by winning or losing matches.

Req points are for buying req packs.

Sell your req cards to get more req points.

Bronze Req Pack = 1,000 RP
Silver Req Pack = 5,000 RP
Gold Req Pack = 10,000 RP

I’m not keen on the Req packs, as anyone with some money (or Mummy’s credit card) can have all the rare or legendary gear without playing much.

it should be earned, by levels, ranks and even playing time.

what I was frustrated with was after completing the solo campaign in Legendary, I didn’t receive any armour/helmet/emblem or even a single Reg pack. Now I see why so little of the community finish the game and just concentrate on Multiplayer.

Every instinct in my body tells me to rebel against micro-transactions being bundled with premium games. The price of entry is the $60 price tag, it doesn’t feel right to have free-to-play elements such as micro-transactions seeped into the game. You may not know it, but that’s what your topic is about- req points being somewhat frustrating so you want to buy packs with cash. Any game that has MTs will be designed to entice you to buy them.

Having said that, I can’t exactly poke a hole in the business model. If adding MTs is the price of free maps and content drops, it seems like a fair trade to me. Basically… others are choosing to pay for my map packs. So long as I avoid purchasing packs, it seems like a win all-around.

As you can see I’m still torn on the subject of MTs. People have been asking me since H5 came out how I feel about the req packs, and I still don’t have a definitive answer.

The RNG element of req packs has it’s place. I saved up my credits in Reach and had everything I could ever want inside of a month. It’s nice to add more longevity in unlocking things. Would love to see a healthy mix of RNG for longevity and “earned” armors unlocked via achievement in H6.

Req packs in WZ is unfair imo, players who have played for a long time or have money to spare can spam Ultra Ghosts, Wraiths etc. Not to mention the DMR is also a very rare unlock by req points and superior to the other loadout weapons.

I miss the days when the armor you had showed your progress or achivements, not how much money you have or how lucky you’ve gotten with RNG.

I’d definitely like Micros to go to hell…but I do also like the continued updates.

As for REQ points, I just simply feel as though they didn’t make the system deep enough; they could balance it so you can work towards what you want while keeping an element of randomness. I’d link you to a thread I made but I don’t want a dead thread to be revived.

Firstly, *your

Secondly, i think it’s fine, on average get a gold pack every 4/5 game of WZFF, and that’s without boosts.

Here’s my two cents on req points: Warzone offers enough points but Arena needs a small boost to be worth it.

INRELAVANCY ALERT!
In future titles, 343 should split armor customization into the 3 unlock systems. Coveted armor through achievements/commedations, a good array of armor through purchase with points, and a few through packs.

I think the concept of RP is alright, but its execution is rather lacking. From my personal observation, it seems like the RP system is almost pressuring people to buy REQ packs with real world money. Allow me to explain:

  • The typical payout of RP is ~800 for an arena game and ~2000 for a 20 minute Warzone game. - RP boosters reward between 500 to 3000 RP depending on its rarity and gamemode. That said RP boosters appear to be rather rare compared to XP boosters, thus reducing their significance as a reliable boosting mechanism. - There is a ton of “filler” armor and weapons throughout the silver and gold tier packs. Bronze packs (the 100% free ones) only have one or two reskinned armors in its tier. - Whenever there is a sale or special offer, it typically revolves around gold tier packs and/or real world money. Look at the recent gold pack sale: took like a dollar off its real price, but didn’t touch its RP cost. Exclusive promo? $10 or 80000RP (which doesn’t add up to a fair ratio). - Back to the filler armors: Gold tier armors have the most sought after armors AND the most reskins of silver and gold tier armors. Add that to the fact it takes about an hour to unlock a single gold pack without a rare booster, and the real $ packs start looking kinda desirable. Its a decent system, but its so painfully obvious that Microsoft is just trying to squeeze some extra profit out of it.

While yes there should have been more stuff unlocked via game play I have two words that would make the req system better… wild cards. The req system should have wild cards so players can pick a particular req from time to time. The req system needs an over haul. The game is very unfriendly to new players at their point being that the req system is so bloated. They need wild cards or at this point break the packs up into cosmetics, weapons and vehicles. At least give players a better chance at what they actually want. Or better yet do both and have wilds cards and break up the packs. Gamers today seem pretty impatient and don’t want what seems like an endless grind for the items they want.

i believe that they should do what they did in halo 4 with earning power ups, guns and abilities for the rank you are .
