You're joking right?

So I saw a video on YouTube where a guy (or girl) kind of depicted the knight blade as underrated and possibly better than the normal bayonet. I’m willing to bet that most player will disagree but I was also curious at the same time to know what people thought.

The video shows that both bayonets have approximately the same distance. Knight blade having about a half meter more range.

It showed how much more damage the KB does to vehicles but in reality its nullified because if you get that close to a vehicle you’re going to hijack it not punch it.

Later in the video it shows the someone using KB with +shields to double melee kill someone using regular bayonet. But I can’t help but shout in my mind… NEWSFLASH! everyone’s a 2-hit melee kill Dingus!!! Youve only proved how good +shields are not KB.

Finally the user has a KB and hits a grunt goblin three times and the goblin dies. Mind you there was like 12 other players in the room smashing the grunt mech with splashers, Oni guass turrets and rockets. But hey you guys be the judge

Here’s the video…

I’m pretty sure most will agree that KB sucks (unless we’re talk basketball right? Lol)

If the Knight Blade was a Level 7 REQ, it’d be pretty good. Too bad it isn’t a OHK even with Increased Strength.

I prefer the energy bayonet, but it all comes down to personal preference and play style

The knight blades only use is if you wanna look cool when you melee someone for the kill. You get to watch their body tear apart into ashes as they are composed. But kinetic bolts to the same thing when you shoot them dead.

So for me, and at least most people, the knight blade is pretty useless.

The knight blade also does increased melee damage on Prometheans since it has the same effect as kinetic bolts.

I’ll take the energy bayonet any day, and like you said, if you get that close to a vehicle you should be jacking it, not hitting it. lol

Do you happen to have proof on that?

The knight blade is situational. But it is good for one thing.

Standing on top of wraith bosses and punching them with it.

The Knight Blade should be useable when you board a vehicle but are out of grenades. How cool would it be to stab into the vehicle chassis? Working only if you have the weapon with the Knight Blade equipped when you board. Anyone else agree?

I suppose the same can apply with the Energy Bayonet when you are punching the living **** outta the enemy vehicle.

It could, but I wouldn’t want it to deal extra damage, just like Knight Blade melee attacks don’t deal extra damage to creatures.

It may be hilarious beating the living **** outta the Wraith with a Knight Blade, but it’s not enough for me. Try destroying a Wasp with a Ground Pound. Now that’s my kind of crazy. :stuck_out_tongue:

Like a covenant can opener!

Is the knight blade not normally a one hit kill like the energy bayonet then? If not I see no reason to use it.

Makes sense, Never use the KB myself but since kinetic bolts and promethean weapons do extra damage on promethean armour I wouldn’t be surprised if KB did extra on them as well

A deadly one, at that. Looks awesome AF, too.

Other than the increased melee distance, it’s whatever, might as well never use it or I’ll get too comfy with that long range then mess myself up when I’m doing normal melee hits.

Thanks for the share though, it did help me learn something new.

People do realise knight blade has kinetic bolts as well?

You know what would make the Knight Blade as useful as the Energy Bayonet? If it gave a brief moment of EMP to every vehicle it melees. That way people will melee, let’s say a Scorpion, so they can get to a spot from which they can board it. My idea might seem too powerful, but it’s practically pointless the way it is now.

I… never use it.
