Your wasp variant ideas

I have some wasp variants
Hannibal Wasp req level 6
Gauss machine gun like the mantis but a real gauss turret like the one attached to the warthog to replace the rockets.Has a tougher sheild
Sword Needler Wasp req level 4
needle machine gun(like the warthog)and white scar plasma caster replacing the rockets.Has tougher armour and covenant sheild.
Hellbringer Wasp Req level 5
Explosive machine gun(like oni chaingun)and flamethrower that leaves a residue of fire which deals damage when stepped on.Fire stays for 5 seconds and cooldown for flamethrower is 3 seconds
Rally Wasp req level 3
Improved Wasp with increased armour and weapons.Machine gun takes longer to overheat.The rockets reload faster.It has increased speed.
Wasp Ultra req level 5
Improved wasp with explosive plasma cannons(like ghost ultra)and fast moving fuel rods tjat have a residue at impact point(like banshee ultra)

That actually was my friend’s idea.

Corp/Tundra/Woodland/Urban Wasp: Increased Armor, speed, and more efficient acceleration/deceleration for better maneuvering.

ONI Wasp: Further Increased Armor. Same speed and maneuverability as Corp variant. Increased Rocket Damage and radius, can lock onto infantry. Machine gun cools down faster and heats up slightly slower.

Hannibal Wasp: Increased Shield strength and regen speed, no armor bonus. Slight speed boost but drastic maneuverability increase (acceleration and deceleration.) Rockets turn into EMP Railgun blasts. Machine gun becomes a rapid fire laser (like Hannibal Scorpion turret.)

ONI Wasp:
Double armor resistance.
Guns fire 5% faster.
No overheat.
Rockets do 50% more damage.
Stronger homing rockets.

Hannibal Wasp:
10% Stronger armor.
150% Stronger shields.
Hannibal Mantis chaingun.
20% Faster movement speed.
Each rocket pod fires a volley of
4 Hydra rockets each.

We only need three variants.

Anti vehicle with Spartan Laser and ability to zoom in

Anti Air with dual Hydra Launchers and ability to zoom in on targets

Anti Infintry which is the regular wasp with increased speed and ability to zoom in on targets.

All other variants are a waste of time and space.

Someone is a little sure of themselves…

A Spy wasp with active camo, a microwave blaster that does almost no damage at all but effects all enemies on the screen, and a crappy machine gun.

It’s true. We don’t need more skinned Wasps. We only need three variants for each req vehicle.

Anti Infintry, Anti Vehicle, Anti Air.
Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Cool ideas OP. Though I highly doubt they will bring in an Ultra Wasp or Sword Wasp. Likely ONI, Tundra/Woodland/Etc, Corp, AND if we’re lucky, a Hannibal Wasp.

I really just want something more viable than the standard wasp. I was really looking forward to a UNSC vehicle that could go toe to toe with a banshee.

Maybe just rebalance the current one so that the machine guns actually work!

I think the current Wasp should be rebalanced with: increased speed (1 mph going forward, 3 mph in all other directions.), increased acceleration and deceleration for dodging flak, increased missile damage (5-10%) to help hold off heavy armor (no radius change to prevent Infantry domination), and 10-15% machine gun accuracy bonus.

Essentially instead of just making the wasp tankier, this would make it faster and more maneuverable along with more offensive effectiveness as a mid/long range support vehicle instead of a risky dash vehicle with little ability to trade fire. Maybe make it a level 4 REQ to reduce spam ability.

They could say they tore it off a Prowler or something
