Hell yes i miss it so much it actualy took skill

The br is not the end all be all weapon. It does about the same damage as the dmr but it is three burst. In swat or some other gametype that single fire is critical, the battle rifle is just not the right weapon. The dmr was a step in the right direction but still had annoyances. Bloom should be taken out along with the game breaking AAs like armor lock. The teaser had a jetpack so they will still have some AAs perhaps with a few tweaks. They should add more custom games options. There is not a very big customs community. I would like that to change. They should keep the interactive communtiy that gives ideas and sends in art ect. Bungie has a community like that though its reputation is not to be admired of. The friendliness at least.
Color should be added into Halo 4. Steel should be more like the halo 3 steel. That game was very colorful. I would change the ranking system back to the Halo 3 and 2 style. Skill based ranking system is just better.

Keep: DMR, Needle Rifle, Sprint, Current ranking system

Take Out: Armour Lock, Jet Pack, Bloom

Add: Overshield, DEDICATED SERVERS.

Keep:
-elites should stay elites, faster, stronger, ect. they should stay separated from spartans(can’t be on same team) except in custom games.
-most the gametypes that have been created, invasion, hot potato, head hunter, ect.
-assassinations

Change:
-change AA’s to be equipment and give players the custom game option to spawn with them/make them rechargeable.
-go back to halo 2’s melee system(after TU) jump melee’s do more damage
-make sticky grenades elite sized like they were during the reach beta.

Take out:
-Bloom
-Armor lock
-sword block

Add
-*custom game search
-*more gametypes and more custom game options.
-*an actual map maker, some thing like halo custom edition but better.(but still keep forge)

-emblem editor, and a more visible emblem on your armor
-add firefight forge, though i think that’s impossible
-increase the player count, even 10 v 10 would be nice.
-more stats!!! what happened to hit accuracy and shots fired?

Bring back: Original trilogy game pace, higher jumping height that Reach, slightly faster movement speed, lower health similar to original trilogy.

Remove: That awful abomination known as Armor Abilities and Bloom.

-DMR algorithm to make spamming lose 100% of the time, regardless of the range.
-no-bleed melee system to the bleedthru halo 3 post-patch melee system.
-grenades -> make them not mini nukes like they are in reach

TAKE OUT:
-random factors in shooting

-skill-less gameplay

ADD:
-more custom game options (LOTS more)
-more custom game MODES (VIP, generator defense, new game modes)
-the ability to undo any massive changes that are made (like bleedthru to nobleed from halo 3 to halo reach) and the ability to tweak things like bloom (max bloom, bloom reset rate, rate in which bloom expands, etc.), and weapon damage.

KEEP: Bloom, hit-scan, assassinations,
CHANGE: AA’s get rid of them all together, they break one of the things that make Halo awesome, the maps. Think back would any of the awesome Halo 2 or 3 maps really work in Reach with AA’s? Most of them no, and that’s why they aren’t there.
ADD: The ability to change individual weapon damage in custom games. (I know MLG would love this)

KEEP: Halo 3’s Multiplayer gameplay and weapons, also vehicles.

CHANGE: Power of weapons, vehicles. Jump height and speed.

TAKE OUT: ALL AA’s, all new Halo: Reach Weapons. overpowered vehicles, stockpile, Bloom.

ADD: 1-50 Rank Structure again, Halo 3 playlists. Just every Halo 3 Aspect lol.

  2. A compelling story line, thats respectable to halo lore but still includes familiar fractions from previous games(covenant, forrunners, ect)
  3. A good ranking system that appeals to competitive halo vets AND casual players.

KEEP: A) The DMR, nerfed a bit to make it more conducive to longer-range combat (I’m thinking reduced clip size and rate of fire, with more accuracy). B) Covenant environments, even if the covenant itself is in the past. C) Grenade launcher.

CHANGE: A) Increase damage, movement speed, jumping. B) Game pace and speed. C) Bring back the sniper rifle from earlier titles.

ADD: A) The BR, with increased bullet spread so cross-mapping is more difficult. B) A double overshield being the standard, instead of a single layer. C) A plasma pistol with a -Yoink-.

REMOVE: A) Redundant weapons, it should be like CE where each weapon has it’s own distinct purpose. B) Any and all low-G crap. If you want to put us in space environments, so be it, but to hell with realism. C) Anything Sage thought was a good idea.

Keep -
Change - The grenades back to how they were in Halo 3, vehicle strength back to Halo 3, Assault Rifle, movement speed/jump height.
Take Out -
Add - The Battle Rifle, Custom Game Browsing + Dedicated Servers, Equipment, Elephants.

Add: Make it similar to either CE or H2 in terms of gameplay
Don’t add: Anything from Halo: Reach other then the weapons, or armoury and make all rifles hitscan.

KEEP: That weapons like the sniper rifle wreck vehicles.
CHANGE: The assault rifle; it ought to nigh useless if not fired in bursts due to immense spread.
TAKE OUT: Armor abilities and bloom.
ADD: Headshot-capability for all weapons.

Keep: Armory

Take out: AA’s

As opposed to removing bloom. They aught to just fix it.

Bloom is a GREAT mechanic. But was horribly flawed on only the most important weapon in the game, the DMR.

The way bloom works on the Plasma Repeater, NR, and Magnum are all fantastic. And if it worked like it LOOKs on the AR it would be great too, but the AR’s auto-aim is just too strong (turn DOWN for the love of GOD).

Bloom I think should be AT LEAST aesthetic on most weapons, for instance the BR. Use reticule bloom on the BR only to show the spread of each shot within the burst. But have the bloom fully reset before allowing the player to fire again. Have bloom actually effect the shotgun, disallowing players from requiring more than one shot to kill past the second player in a string of Multikills. Have bloom effect the Plasma Pistol, Needler, Turrets, Plasma Rifle and Spiker all similarily to the way it effects a Repeater/the PP in the Beta.

Use Bloom on the Focus Rifle as a legitimate reason to buff the damage on it, as the reticule blooms, you will SEE your beam actively straying from the center and swaying in random areas within the confines of the reticule, but Fluidly, so it can still be controlled with skill. Have purely aesthetic bloom on the Rocket Launcher, but bloom that effects the Plasma Launcher (stringing 4 shots together will have them spread apart, then center in on the locked on opponent, this could even INCREASE the effect of the weapon).

Aesthetic Bloom would look pretty freaking awesome on the Sword/Hammer, and could be implemented in the Grenade launcher’s reticule to add visual flare. While Bloom could show spread in spammed shots with the Concussion Rifle, though it would still be a fairly tight reticule.

Bloom was a good idea, and was implemented well in most of where it exists, but they didn’t take it all the way, leaving some weapons with an… UNFINISHED fee, and they REALLY failed in some way on the DMR… Whether it’s too much bullet magnetism or too small a max reticule I don’t know. But it doesn’t work on the DMR and if that weapon returns, would need a serious re-construction.
