Armor lock damage threshold: Make it equivalent to one whole shield, when it gets knocked out say from a grenade or tank/wraith shot the damage does not bleed-through. If a player armor locks to destroy a vehicle after the vehicle gets destroyed they should be knocked out of armor lock as that would’ve been splatter damage and it should take out there armor lock.

Increase player speed and jump height to something on or around Halo 3 levels.

Reduce grenade damage radius it is too wide and too powerful as is. If actual placement of grenades were emphasized with a smaller radius then the damage would be tolerable.

If possible have a filter for gametypes, for example: Team Slayer, Preferred: Slayer or Preferred: Slayer DMR. Team Objective Preferred: Assault, Flag, etc.
- Bloom (Remove it or make it work)

I have to add a couple.
-When in armour lock, you should not be able to look around. Your point of view should be LOCKED straight ahead. That way, when you get out of armour lock, you can’t magically be facing the other way to smack someone. That’s silly. And the EMP blast should be removed from armour lock. It’s too powerful.
-All gametypes that have been updated (flag indicators in ctf, hill time indicators in king of the hill, flaming feet option on overshields) should replace the outdated default gametypes. All updated maps should replace default maps. I think this should go without saying. All the old gametypes are obsolete now that Bungie has updated them. It makes for lots of clutter and confusion when you have to download the new gametype. It should replace the old one.
- Remove bloom.
- Restore-bleed through.
- Increase default speed and jump height.
- Fix frame issues on Forge World.
- Remove AAs from loadouts, place them on the maps with a one-time use and a long respawn time. Basically, make them behave like Halo 3 Equipment.

Tweak precision weapon bloom, mainly the DMR, to punish trigger spammers.

Nerf Armour Lock, disable 360 view, remove grenade shading, or only allow EMP to affect vehicles only or just remove it from any Slayer game variants except Invasion and BTB.

Add bleed-through to the melee system. It takes no skill to Sprint and Double melee your opponent.

Bring back the 1-50 ranking system. Make sure there are a variety of ranked playlist like in Halo 3.

Give us the ability to choose what attachments we put on our helmets and the ability to remove the kukri from the right security shoulder so we can truly customize our Spartan to our liking.
Also, remove sword block.

12 bullets in the magnum
Reduce sniper headshot hitboxes
- Some sort of ranking system used in H2/H3 from the 1-50 ranking system. I am discouraged to ever do objective because it takes away from my stats and I get rewarded for nothing but these limited credits.
2)Don’t make playlist like MLG a social playlist where a freaking t04 match against me and 3 others who have never played with each other( which goes hand in hand with rank) cause most the time I suffer from my team mates lack of skill while doing very well. - Either remove the bloom in its current state or fix it like its supposed to work on paper. This is the pacer should win his battles my timing, the spammer should hardly ever win. I would personally do away with the entire thing but thats just one man’s opinion.
- Please nerf down grenades and rockets. Its amazing how big the radius of damage on these things are. I have gotten so many kills and gotten killed a many where a whiplash rocket with no aim at all still manages to kill me.
- Beat downs/ Bleed Through needs to be changed.
I believe these 5 changes will make the game much more competitve and fun granted I only play MLG. I think many casual gamer would enjoy these to. Maybe Reach can be salvaged if this update comes through for some of my wishes.

- Make Crosshair bloom an option to turn on or off. (It should be off for Anniversary anyway.)
- Remove Armor Lock from Matchmaking completely.
- An option to disable “Vehicle health”. Not make them indestructible, but more like Halo 2/3 where the vehicle health is the player health.
- Halo 2/3 styled Melee system. AKA the bleed over effect.
- Reduce the number of credits required to rank up, or increase the number of credits earned per match. Alternatively, create “Double Credit weekends” much like Halo 3’s, “Double EXP weekends.”
1) Bloom toggle: Weapon bloom needs a on/off option. Spamming works more than it doesn’t…shouldn’t be that way.
2) 1 - 50 ranking system: Add the 1-50 back. Every hardcore player from Halo that got a high rank like a 50 or 40 in Halo knows that in Halo Reach the matchmaking system has no balance on who you place against or with. Plus the 1-50 system lets each player have something to go for. We all know Arena blows due to it’s population to other playlist…the ranked community left in Halo 3 is bigger…that’s not good, not at all. Social playlist can still exist as well but please just give the hardcore gamers a more balanced ranking system. Also, something like a cR per playlist wouldn’t hurt either… for example, in Halo 3 players could get a general in each playlist by getting 500 exp. Why not have something like this in reach, for example 8,000,000 cR per playlist = inheritor.
3) Fix theater: Make theater have at least a max party of four. One player just isn’t as fun when it comes down to showing your friends how sick that no-scope you just got was if they all have to download it just to see it.
4) Power-ups need to be fixed: Camo and Oversheild in Halo Reach are so messed up. Camo should make you invisible like it did in H3, no more crouching to have full camo. Oversheild needs a visual effect to show how much overshield they have left. Not just flaming feat or a forced color that doesn’t change.
5) Bleed thru: Here is a example of this…Player A shoots Player B 3 times with the Dmr. They both melee each other twice resulting in a neutral (both players kill each other). We all know Player A should of won that fight…It’s like those 3 shots didn’t even exist. Halo 3 had it right.

5)Change ranked games to blend true skill Divisions and 1-50 Win/Lose
Here’s mine.
- Play as Elites in ALL matchmaking gametypes.
- The wort wort wort thing bs angel suggested.
- Removal of Armor Lock from matchmaking. Period.
- Halo 3’s betrayal boot system. AKA, not being booted after one accidental betrayal when some IDIOT walks in front of you when you are firing the rocket launcher.
- Custom Elite Armor (like in Halo 3)/ More Spartan Armor.
Top 5 possible ones:
1-Nerf the DMR (and maybe the pistol too)
2-Let us change the spartan/elite signature weapons (for now we are forced to use DMR/NR)
3-Let us use our own colours in invasion, do we really need team colours in an SvE game?
4-Buff plasma weapons (where are the brutal plasma weapons we read about on the Halo books?)
5-Nerf armor lock
Top 5 still possible but unlikely:
1-Give us space battles
2-Give us more weapons (like smgs pistols and AR variants like the MA5K)
3-New armour
4-Let us customize weapons (even reskinned versions will do)
5-Let us customise vehicles (I dont give a blam bout’ a red mongoose, but a green banshee… once again even reskins will do)

Do something with sniper to make it harder to use at long range, and more like the Halo 3 snipe at close range. Maybe make headshot hitbox smaller but add a tiny bit of autoaim for people who swipe snipe at mid range.

BRING BACK 1-50!!! or 1-100, or symbols, I dont really care, there just needs to be a ranking system based solely on win/loss

4 and a half. Fix FF netcoding so it doesnt suck for off host
4 and three quarters. Add more ammo to the Pistol
4.85. Make nades like Halo 3 nades
4.99. Change some commendations (Perfection and Vehicle) so they won’t take 15 years.
- Fix assist system so that if you get someone no shield, and they regain a tiny bit, and get killed, it counts as an assist (minor, but annoying)
Side note: Add button glitches to speed up and add skill to CQC (BxR and BxB, but all of them would be nice)
- Bring back melee bleedthrough
- Fix the Bloom, especially pertaining to the DMR.
- More people being able to view Theatre mode would be nice
- Multiple glitch fixes, such as removing the ability of Gauss Hog cannons to go through Forge objects
- Nerf grenades

Example: Have a Reach Rank and a True Skill Rank, meaning what level you would have while only incorporating credits, and having credits with true skill added into the mix… I think thats how I want to word it lol
- Remove or tweak bloom. Preferably remove.
- Replace the sprinting pant with more audible footsteps (see my thread for more detailed info) and give it a longer duration
- Remove, or severely rebalance armor lock.
- Bring back damage bleed-through
- Maybe some weapon buffs, like AR, focus rifle, etc. I’m sure other people could find better ones than me. Also like everyone else says, nerf grenades. Plz.
I’m assuming there are certain things a TU can change, and lots of other stuff that can’t be modified. Well, judging from the changes done between the Beta and Retail versions of Halo Reach, my top 5 would be:
- Shorten the duration of Armor Lock. Something between 3-4 seconds
- Remove bloom completely. Halo 2 didn’t have it, and it worked
- Reduce the blast radius OR damage traits of Grenades. Make them less powerful
- Make the time period between melees longer. Something like 2 seconds.
- Remove Sword Block. I don’t even use a sword anymore.
I’ve seen all those 5 being changed between the Beta and Retail versions, or modded by random Halo fans that miss Halo. And I’m pretty much sure that covers a lot of complaining.
