Your "Top 5" for the Title Update

  1. Fix bloom to actually punish spammers and reward pacers. Actually, remove it completely.
  2. Nerf Armor Lock:
  • Take out Plasma Grenade shedding
  • Once you go into it, you should be locked in. No more popping in and out.
  1. Make vehicles less prone to ragdoll physics. Hitting a pebble on Hemorrhage shouldn’t send my Warthog into 50 spins.
  2. Give grenades a longer detonation time.
  3. Make melee bleed through again.

1: Bloom Fixed
2: Grenades Nerfed to Hell
3: Armor Lock Fixed
4: Vehicle Health reverted to H:3 style
5: Bleed Through Melee

Since 5 is all we are allowed I will stop there.

I have been playing halo at a very competitive / non-money way. Ever since the creation of this glorious franchise. So please pay attention to this to save whatever time is left on Halo: Reach.

  1. We need a ranking system, i need a reason to come on and have a reachable goal, 1-50 is NEEDED. Make it hard as hell to get a 50, but definitely achieveable. The current army ranks dont work, I can play my butt off for a year and still not be at the top.

  1. Say NO to bloom, get rid of it, makes no sense there should be consistency.

  1. I don’t know what the hell is up with the spartans, they look to small compared to the sorroundings. The spartan looks like a midget compared to CHIEF. Example, play or watch a game on HALO 2 sanctuary and Halo: Reach Sanctuary, you should get an idea. It should be fixed to a degree where I can see clearly what the hell a person is holding across a medium sized map.

— Fix the RATIO of Spartan to the MAP/Surroundings.

  1. Make the gameplay fast. Make it so double/triple kills are common place like in Halo 3. You can’t achieve a multi kill without the use of many grenades. Add a longer clip to the dmr, with bloom off it should be a constant 4-5 headshot.

— Make Gameplay FASTER.

  1. FOR GOD’s SAKE- I am tired of seeing blue mush mashed together making walls and calling it a MAP. Add more scenery, more vivid lighting more colors. I should be able to come 10 secs late to a game and find out what map i am playing on based solely on the color of the walls. I love forge, but everything is shades/hues of blue, I have no idea exactly where everything is.

— More scenic Enviroment / Forge Maps.

PLEASE fix this 343, this game still has potential. Just fix thes things and you will once again control the market share. Circa Halo 2 days.

My top 5 in order of importance:

1: Add a 1-50 ranking system
I was very optimistic about the thought of arena seasons, but those have proved to be very disapointing. I feel Halo 2’s ranking system would be very effective as you can predict everytime you are going to level up, causing you to play many more games. While Halo 3’s trueskill ranking would also be effective because everyone is pretty well practiced starting out.

2: Nerf armor lock
I find myself dodging playlists that include this. Some things to change would be health regen, sticky shedding, time, emp radius/existence.

3: Make bloom a switchable option
I have gotten used to bloom in reach, but I believe this is a must have for any playlist trying to emulate a classic Halo feel.

4: Make vehicles more resistant
While the possibility to take a banshee down with a DMR may be very useful when one is roaming about the map, a team with decent communication can render a banshee useless before it can even get a kill. However, I feel sniper damage to tanks should remain the same, as the sniper is a power weapon and 5 or 6 bullets is a huge investment.

5: Make assasinations take slightly longer to initiate
As it stands now, pressing the bumper without a caution light tap will initiate the assination animation which can get players in trouble a lot of times.

1-change armor lock to be shorter in time or remove
2-new maps for infection exp: haunted mansion , and bring it back to what it was in halo 3(thats why we loved it)
3-melee needs to go back to what it was in halo 3
4- no more coin toss kills when in two people vs…
5-bigger credit jackpots , insane amount of credits needed to get everything in armory is a reason why some people left reach , since they know that the short time that they have to play wont allow them to be able to earn enough credits to purchase everything in the armory. a game should give a minimum of 2000 to 4000 credits , to allow casual gamers to gain access to everything, and above all gain access before the halo 4 comes out, since when that game is out, there wont be a reason to keep going in reach so they will never get to enjoy most of the things in the game.
its just an insane amount of credits for most everyone to earn…

here are my Top 5 things to make the Halo experience better.

Number 1:
Bloom. Please make an on/off toggle or even better: Get rid of it completely. What’s wrong with bloom is that spammers will always be better than people who time their shots. If you get rid of bloom, decrease the fire rate of the DMR just a little bit, so the time to kill someone would be equal to Halo 2’s.

Number 2:
Grenades. Nerf them a bit. I like the way they fly, but they’re a bit too powerful. You shouldn’t be dead when your shield if full, but your health is low.

Number 3:
Armor Lock. I can’t stand AL, because whenever I play Team Slayer and Swordbase is chosen I cannot even count the amount of people camping on top of the yellow lift with AL. Nerf the time of the Armor Ability or get rid of it completely as it ruins my gaming experience a bit. Remove EMP effect when standing near a guy using AL.

Number 4:
Get rid of camo and bring back powerups for a more classic Halo feeling.

Number 5:
Beatdown system. Halo 3’s beatdown system was perfect in my opinion. I guess you all know these moments where a guy sprints up to you and punches you twice in Halo Reach. It’s so rediculous. I mean if I shoot somebody and his shields are low I still cannot kill him with one punch.

The fixing of these things I wrote above will lead to a better and much more classic Halo Multiplayer experience.

I can agree with most of this, except for number 3. Armor lock just needs to be relegated to cooperative games and uber-casual lists like action sack.

Also, number two might be negated by an increase in movement speed instead. Grenades aren’t nearly as bad in team classic, despite the damage increase across the board, because the blast can be outran.

Also, my number 5 would be: 5. Reduce bullet magnetism on the AR. The way it works now reminds me of the movie “Wanted,” with the way the bullets curve. The bullets should land inside of the crosshaires, like they’re supposed to.

5-needless to say we need a ranking system, it will bring back thousands i’m sure even if that is simply putting the bpr in a visible spot I’d be happy trying to have a 100 bpr . or even just thinking about seeing my bpr fluctuating would be so much better then what we have now which basically shows me how often I play the game which doesn’t always make me feel good.

  1. Adjust the movement speed/jumping a bit. Reach is a little too slow to be Halo for me.

1-3 aren’t in any order, but are more of a concern than 4-5.

  1. The ranking system needs a little more. I feel it shouldn’t just reward those who mass games, but also reward those that do well(something like the visual true skill system).

  2. I’d like to see less forge world maps in MM. I feel like the same texture every game makes it boring.(this isn’t that big of a issue, but something I’d like brought up)

  1. Fix the bloom - the bloom is a good idea but it needs fixed so spammers are punished, so maybe when you pace your shots its faster that the bloom resets and when you hit more than 2 consecutive shots very fast the bloom just goes huge/bigger

  2. Fall damage should be fixed so that when you fall you take no damage, speeds up gameplay

  3. When using certain Armour Abilities - example evade - when you get shot you shouldnt slow down but stay the same speed, keeps the gameplay tempo up

  4. Fix the beatdown system

  5. Grenade’s should be able to bounce off ground more like in Halo 3

I reckon these be great inclusions

My two cents: Easily appliable solutions-

1. Big Party Rules NEED to be applied to parties of 6+ in BTB.

2. Multi Team should include BTB maps, it’s too crowded at the moment.

3. Arena scoring needs to reflect INDIVIDUAL performance. If my teammates are crap and I go +17, under the current system I am punished compared to the winning team who all went +2.

4. If possible, the infection bulltrue/betrayal glitch needs to be fixed. Therefore, infection betrayal booting could be added.

Finally, a more radical change…

5. A few extra ranks should be added, and a skill system should be applied to all competitive playlists. General+ ranks should have a skill requirement.

Basically what everyone else said. Also:

  2. Invisibility Modifier-i.e. 25%, 75% 100%; also change whether camo disappears by moving

  3. Custom Game Browser???

  4. Fix Fileshare, rank, add player model to service record like H3, improve service record in general

ummmm thats how arena used to be and it sucked because your teamates would just kill you for snipe or rockets…and it wasnt really a team experience. so they changed it to win/loss so that people would work as a team to win and arena has been great ever since.

Here is my top 5

  1. NERF AL. I do not care how, just in any way possible.

  2. Make bloom do its job. The combo of bullet magnatism and small DMR bloom makes the bloom almost rewarding in some instances. There is room for improvement.

  3. Bleed through melee option. This would make many people smile.

  4. Headshot capability on shields option. When you shoot someone in the head, say with a DMR, it would take the normal 4 shots to kill the shields, and another to the head. Otherwise it would take maybe twice as many bullets to kill the person. This would create a game where you have to have skill to win, and would reward players for getting better at aiming. Combine this with DMR bloom fixed and you have yourself a game that requires practice and skill and rewards it.

  5. Make an option to have players reach their max speed slightly faster. Right now in reach when you move you speed up to your max speed. This makes strafing difficult and less effective, and inhibits player movement a little harshly. I say make the speed up time 1/2 of what it is to make the game feel manuverable and responsive.
