I’m happy that so many people here want bloom removed in preciston weapons, this game can be orgasmic if that and bleedthrough are removed.
Take bloom off of precision weapons, or give us a toggle option in CS. This is great for both casual and competitive players, it makes it so the game is faster paced and more precise. Casuals love fast paced games (CoD) and they like a gun that is more precise, and not so random and in Reach random gun play is a huge hit to gameplay.
Bleedthrough back. No one like sprint herp-a-derping, and gunplay in CQC is much more funner with it on

At least give us the option to take aim accel. off
Reduce the affect that speed, gravity and jump height have on AAs like sprint, evade and jetpack. (i don’t want to evade from one side of blood gulch to the other when speed is at 300%)
Some sort of ranking system in matchmaking other than Arena.
1: Decrease the DMR’s rate of fire (same speed as halo 3’s BR) and remove bloom entirely. This will make it so spamming on host isnt rewarded by an instant kill
2: 1-50 ranking system (tired of matching kids that just bought reach)
3: Fix melees. It should be the same as halo 3
4: NERF THE GRENADES. 1 grenade shouldnt kill you when you have full shields but low health
5: Put in a 3 second cooldown time where you cant melee after sprinting. Also increase the time between melees
1. Remove bloom on all weapons
Any weapons that have bloom, make them like their Halo 3 counterparts. Combine the best of the DMR and BR: four shot kill, no bloom, rate of fire cap, single shot, hitscan, spread that only affects accuracy at long range. Bring the magnum back to its beta glory (minus bloom, of course).
2. Fix grenades
Grenades should never kill a player while at full shields and they should not “home in” on players (while this effect is very subtle, it is definitely there). Fix their bounce physics to make grenade bouncing consistent like in Halo 3. No more grenades thrown only to clunk down on the ground like a rock.
3. Fix/supplement the ranking system
Bring back 1-50. Why? Because people like it and it’s accurate. Also bring back overall and playlist EXP (one EXP per win, just like Halo 3) and make it retroactive.
4. Fix the vehicles
Banshee: Reduce the radius of the bomb blast, increase the power of the normal shots and slightly decrease how fast the boost regenerates.
Gauss Warthog: Fix the noclip glitch with gauss shots.
General core playlist tweaks that probably don’t require a Title Update
Remove loadouts across the board, even sprint. Armor abilities should only be available as powerups at the most. Increase movement speed across the board. Bring back conventional powerups. Enable health regen across the board.
In short, reward the skilled players and reduce randomness.
Loadouts were a good idea, if they were only for players to decide which weapon the wanted to start with as long as an armor ability was not attached to it. But the game designers blew it, so we have Reach with that.
These would only be custom options and would only be turned on in the classic playlist which will contain the new maps. Changing the entire game is not only disrespectful to Bungie, it’s unfair for those who like the game as is.
Remove bloom on precision weapons. Replace it with set ROFs. This may have to mean no DMRs or NRs in this playlist as they have too much range. 3sk pistol? Oh that would be awesome.
Individual weapon damage sliders. Being able to make the pistol a 3sk without making the nades and sniper a 1 hit kill is obviously a must.
Fix the movement and add move intervals. Currently when you up the speed it feels like you’re on ice. Add 105%, 115% etc.
Remove bloom from match making completely. Cap the RoF of the DMR/NR/Pistol.
Convert AA’s from load outs to map pick ups. Remove the jetpack completely from ranked.
Remove “the Arena”, and replace it with a few playlists with a 1-50 ranking system. Preferably a tweaked version of the H2 1-50.
Increase player speed a tad in default, reinstate flag juggling.
Make spartans more bright and colorful, rather than dim and clunky.
Please 343, fix Reach. Don’t be so silly to think that you are being “arrogant” for changing Bungie’s obvious game play flaws. It would be a complete missed opportunity to leave said flaws unchanged.
Bigger forge pallet:
Forklift, Pelican, more random items like barrels and stuff to decorate and make custom maps less “plain”
Custom game Matchmaking
Fix the betrayal system(I hate it when noobs betray me because I beat them to the sniper rifle or the Wraith/Scorpion. Bring back betrayal booting in Infection and fix the betrayal glitch when becoming infected.
Remove bloom entirely (i.e that being an option at least): remember folks, EVEN IF that leads to MUCH faster killing times, the title update is also meant to approximate the gameplay to that of halo 1. And you guessed it, a 2 sec kill time was the usual there.
the nades: simple solution: make them the same as halo 2. If thats not possible: INCREASE the damage of the core of the nade explosion (sort of the nucleus) and DRASTICALLY DECREASE the overall radius of the explosion. I would like them to be a little faster as well (ie travel time)
ranking system: PLEASE intruduce some 1-50 or 1-100 ranking system. Wins as the basis to rank up. Two issues obviously with that: second accounts and booster. As for the first: a player that starts anew but is obv. a 40 or 50 should rank up VERY fast. The measurement to do that could be the win/loss ratio and/or kd. Boosters: well, if someone who bought an account plays 50s but doesnt really have the skill to be in that group (thats why he bought it, duh), the system should also DERANK those much faster so buying an account should be discouraged.
SWITCH WEAPONs system: PLEASE change the game so that the player can use the secondary weapon CONSIDERABLY faster after switching weapons. THis is a MAJOR issue that started with halo 3.
I dont mind bleed through PROVIDED that the melee does not take off the shield. Bleed through should at least be an option…

Give the bloom an on/off toggle option(or remove it completely)
Bring back the instant kill for jumping objective melees from Halo 2(increase flag/bomb damage)
Allow the ability to dodge melees by decreasing the size of the hit box(if you throw a punch it doesn’t form a wall that hits everything directly in front of you, I miss being able to jump/crouch/sidestep/back away from melees)
Increase Vehicle Stability and Health. (Example: If I hit a rock or hill with a Warthog, I flip… Fix that so we don’t flip over everything like in Halo 2/3. Same with damage.
Why does Reach’s connection “bar” seem so much less accurate than Halo 3’s?
I can have a very laggy game and be “full green”, or have a fine game and be “red”. In Halo 3 I could tell how bad/good the connection was by if it was red/low yellow/high yellow or green.
Living in NZ means that lag is sometimes a big problem.
