1: Bloom lessened/ or completely removed.

In addition, because elites move faster than spartans, crouch walking with active camo causes you to become unloaked a tad

Theres other things I would appreciate if possible, more armor customization (More attachments per helmet, and on/off switch of the grenade belt, pouches, and the thing on the operator helmet. I KNOW its already in game due to the dead spartans on lone wolf spawning/last cutsecne/hologram glitch with it!), making unsable colors usable (I know there are some due to the hologram glitch), more forge options, etc, but I don’t know if the above are possible.

Finally, PLEASE give us a volcanic map in the next DLC, if there is any :smiley:

Pummel = Halo 3’s beat down, IE: normal melee kill

Beat down = Halo 3’s assassination, IE: Backsmack

Assassination = The longer, animated form of a beat dowin reach, IE: snaping your targets neck.

Title Update
1) Fix the melee system. If an full-shield opponent has 2 shots in me, and we melee each other, I should be ceasier to finish off.

2) Change the Red/Blue spawns for asymmetrical maps (Boardwalk, Sword Base, Reflection, etc.) OR set up matchmaking where you can’t see your team’s color before the map is chosen. If the choices are Sword Base or Asylum, Red team will chose Sword Base the majority of the time, because they know they have an advantage.

3) Add more pieces/options/colors to the Forge objects. Forge is an amazing tool that allows creation of new maps that the developers don’t have the time to create and don’t have to charge for. But grey, grey, grey, grey gets VERY old rather quickly.

Playlist Update
4) Add more ranked playlists. MLG, SWAT, and Snipers [and MLG FFA!:)] should be ranked, and matching should be based more on skill. A few “regular” playlists (Slayer, Objective, etc.) as well as “unique” playlists [Grifball, Action Sack, and some new racing playlist, perhaps :)] should be social/casual/unranked options.

5) Adjust the ranking system.
a) I like the idea of 3 month seasons, but perhaps add a cumulative average of the seasons participated in. Something lasting to give a more accurate ranking of a player, but still discourages “deranking”/new accounts for beating on noobs and stagnant ranks.
b) Find a balance between ranking for personal performance and win/loss. Use both to determine rank so that: 1) a poor player won’t be “carried” to a high rank, and 2) One good player isn’t penalized too terribly for 3 awful teammates.

6) Armor abilities should be more of a pickup and less of a loadout. Sprint as default loadout with a few AA pickups seem to make the game much more reasonable (at least for ranked/skilled playlists). When everybody has a jetpack, height advantage is almost pointless. Armor lock would be much more tolerable if there was only 1 on the map at a time, preferably obvious who has it.

I know I bent the rules a little bit, but thanks for taking time to read this, and thanks for asking the community’s opinion!

My only other complaint was with AL, but the way Bungie currently has it used in separate playlists, I don’t mind it. I think Al is perfectly fine in BTB, and if you don’t like it in regular slayer, play squad.

  1. Random cR bans gotta go! (Just recently, on Bungie day, I decided to play a few games and in the middle of one, a message appeared, “This account has been temporarily been banned from earning credit.” I’ve done nothing wrong and played the game as nornally as possible. I wasn’t nor have I ever boosted. I wasn’t idle for even a second. So what possible reason did Bungie have for banning me? For referrence, you can go check my latest games on Bungie.net and see I played them morally. Pretty frustrating if ya’ ask me.

  2. The ranking system needs some definite tweaks. EX: Me and my friend play all the time. I always play significantly better than him, but he earns waaaaaay more credits than me and obviously ranks up faster. You see the problem? It is deeply flawed. Even my friend laughs at the amount of credits he gets because he just messes around most of the time. He ranks up when he knows he shouldn’t be, again, that presents a huge problem in the ranking system. Shouldn’t your rank be based on your performance?

  3. Lets bring down the lunging a notch, shall we. The sword is already powerful enough. It’s hard to keep your distance, especially if you add sprint on top of it. The sword is one thing, but how does one lunge by simply swinging a gun?

  4. Let me kill two birds with one stone here, matchmaking maps are ill-equipped. One of the teams always gets overran by vehicles and no way to take them out. How 'bout a rocket launcher? Like Halo 3, there should be a way to counteract every element of the game. And for maps with just one shotgun or one sniper need to be updated. If there are going to be any power weapons on a map, both teams should be supplied and have an eaqual advantage. How does a team defend itself if the other has the shotgun, sniper, sword, and rockets? How do you test the true skill of each team? Also Matchmaking is filled with assinine cummunity maps that are poorly structured. Please eliminate a vast majority of them. I would like to play on a map of color once in a while, that actually plays out well (fun is key), and that looks good too (not just a bunch of walls and tunnles thrown together).

5 Last but not least, can we make “Big Team” two playlists? i.e. “Big Team Slayer” and “Big Team Objective”. Just like there’s “Team Slayer” and “Team Objective”. Why not do “Big Team” the same way? Reason being is that I rarely get just a good old “Big Team Slayer” game. It’s usually just objective. Although, every now and then a slayer game will come up, which people mostly veto. sigh

  1. On Dmr: Bloom changed to needle rifle bloom and rate of fire severly reduced (h3 br without spread)

  2. 1-50 come back in the form of 1-50 or BPR

  3. Armor lock severely nerfed or deleted from ranked play

  4. New Armor

  5. Buff Vehicles so that sniper doesnt melt them.

1: bring back bleed though melees.
2: make vehicles near impervious to small arms such as the dmr in all areas except weak spots such as the hatch and exhaust on the scorpion/wraith
3: lengthen the fuse time on grenades to make it like halo 1 grenades. long fuse and strong explosions go well together, which brings me to the next one.
4: increase movement speed to halo 2/3 defaults, while butchering AA’s. they’re the reason why movement changed. (jump height lowered for jetpack, slower walking to promote sprint/evade, slow movement to encourage AL and drop shield usage against grenades and explosives, and hologram is an added poop stain.)
5: send the dmr and focus back to their beta state, make the magnum a four shot kill to balance it against the DMR, and make the AR have a 16 shot kill rather than 18

I hope I’m not to late to get a say in this but here it goes. This is the most important post in this thread. I have read other post and I agree with most of what people have stated. But with reading what people have posted, they simply don’t understand you can only do so much with a patch. People post and say fix that and this but they don’t state on how to fix a certain issue, so I will do it for them. I will state what is the most important issues that need patching, and will make it short as possible.

1) Fix/Remove the Bloom.

The statement above is pretty obvious. Now there are two things you could do for this issue. 1. you can make the bloom have a faster reset time. 2. Just remove the bloom totally with no DMR side effects. By “side effects” I mean, no bullet deviation, the bullet simply shoots where the player aims at. Out of these two, I want to see #2.

2) Fix the Grenades. (Explode Time)

Now I will not just say “Make them weaker” this will not fix the issue at hand. These people who say this don’t understand FPS multiplayer games in general. People say that these grenades are too powerful but there are two reasons why it seems like it. 1. The player movement speed is too slow to get away from these grenades. 2. These grenades explode instantly, making them the most frustrating weapon to deal with while playing. How to fix the grenades…, Give the grenades a delay time/fuse time, make it 3 - 4 seconds long before they explode. This will make the player able to get away from the grenades. This will solve every complaint you will ever here about this topic.

3) Fix the Melee System. (Remove Lunge)

Again people will just say “Fix the melee system” then they don’t state how. It’s so simple in fact that I believe those bungie employees who made the melee system for H3 and HR has a intelligence of a 4th grader. But those who made the melee system for H:CE and H2 did a very good job. Now granted H:CE had better melee system because it had no lunge. So, in order to fix the melee system you must take out the lunge. By doing this you will solve many other complaints associated with this problem.

4) Fix Assassination Animation (Toggle On/Off)

Fixing the assassination animation is the most important issue dealing with halo reach. I have died some many times when I didn’t even mean to hold the melee button. Needing to fight another guy by me but I was in assassin mode so I couldn’t defend myself. Lets face it, this feature is completely broken, and is far more important than any other issue.

Now there are some many other problems with reach, so I only stated the four main complaints. These four topics above need to be addressed and dealt with in future halo titles.

Yeah that cameo problem is a game breaker. All the horrible problems in this game and you’re talking about invasion colors and armor, both of which have nothing to do with gameplay? Also, only CE had a small amount of bloom on the pistol, but all other Halo games had bullet spread, not bloom, big difference there.
We need actual changes.

  1. Shorten kill times on all non power weapons to CE/H2 levels to speed up gameplay and balance AAs, melee, grenades, and power weapons.

  2. Remove bloom.

  1. Add damage bleed to all melee’s and guns.
  2. Option to remove bloom.
  1. Ranked Matchmaking:

Halo 2 version of 1-50. 50 was only for the best of the best and there really wasn’t a skill gap if you had a 50 in Halo 2 like there was in Halo 3.

On/Off and fix it to allow people pacing shots to be benefitted.

  1. Better 4v4 maps:

Reach Maps are complete garbage for 4v4 and all the DLC is for big team it feels.

  1. Theatre:

Whats the point of showing off your sweet overkill extermination to a friend if you can’t all watch it in the same lobby

Make it bleed-through

  1. Duration of Multi-kills

Either increase the time between medals of multi-kills or make kill time quicker while at longer range.

THIS ! Please Toggle Bloom on/off !!

  1. cR’s in Campaign past silver commendation - However ensure that the Target Locator does not give cR and make it so if someone reverts back a checkpoint that they lose the cR they got (that way it can’t be abused but then there’s more reason to play Campaign).

  2. Slight Weapon Tweaks: Increase MAX ammo capacity for Pistol. 40 just never seems like enough - particularly in Campaign and Score Attack. Focus Rifle overheats too fast IMO and Plasma Repeater is often far more unreliable than the AR.

  3. A way or mode to play Campaign without cutscenes. For instance Long Night of Solace always has at least one unskippable cutscene in space that just drags on. I just want to play the level!

  4. More options and customisations in Firefight settings that aren’t currently possible. For instance the option of Versus WITHOUT A.I. Like in the Beta and a way for more Vehicles to spawn WITHOUT relying on Dropships.

  5. Tweak the Banshee; limit Banshee tricks but slightly increase health or resistance against DMR fire. Also decrease the damage radius of the Fuel Rod blast that it fires (so it takes more skill).

  1. Remove bloom from precision weapons or add a on/off toggle.

  2. Remove the “no-bleed through” mechanic.

  3. Increase player strafe acceleration (faster directional change) and movement speed.

  4. Return to the Halo 3’s theatre mode capacity where a party of several people (not just one person) could view a film.

  5. Ranking system 1-50
