Your "Top 5" for the Title Update

Individual weapon damage modifiers via options: EX: being able to change AR to 110% damage while still leaving the base damage on other select weapons such as sniper. This could really help the competitive nature of the game since MLG has been trying and testing numerous things for balancing of weapon/melee damage I know people enjoy the increased weapon damage but the sniper breaks the game at a certain % to a point where a sniper just becomes a 1 shot kill for chest shots I think if they just added the modifiers things would be slightly better for the community as a whole.

Increased run speed/jump height (jump height to offset the increased frag damage that will never be fixed) EX: Being able to jump over nades and nullify the majority of the damage. Its clearly a problem considering it was addressed in classic and 1 nade start was implemented instead of 2 to offset it.

Reduced frag radius splash damage/ damage itself/ and/or fuse time.

Melee bleed damage (no brainer)

This is my opinion and most/majority of players share similar views on the subject. I am a long time Halo player dating back to CE I’ve played competitively throughout the years in it including being a top player during the AGP days but I have little to no drive to even play Halo until a lot of issues are addressed. The community for Reach (NOT Halo) is dying fast especially when you have strict competition even though I despise playing COD because of how easymode it really is, but after the initial release of reach there’s really nothing drawing me into playing it frequently due to me wanting to rage nearly every game because of simple issues that SHOULD/COULD’VE been addressed ages ago upon launch when it was made apparent by thousands of people on the forum. Honestly playing Reach at time it reminds me of the randomness of Gears of War where the shotgun is basically the DMR, sometimes you can snipe people across the map the other times you can be point blank over their head and it will do little to nothing. I enjoyed the aspect of bloom and its a good thing for the game IN THEORY, but it just doesn’t work the way it was intended which is already rather apparent.

Oh and for mother-loving sweet baby Jesus’ sake, add in BLEED THROUGH !!!

The Return of 2 loved and almost forgotten gametypes
-VIP
-Generator Defense
This gametype (GD) was a very loved gametype during the Reach Beta, It could make a return as a Multiplayer Gametype, kind of like how they have added gametypes via the “Crazy” Tag, if this can be done through just downloading a gametype 343 could make the return of both the VIP and Generator defense.

Don’t give me the bull-Blam!- that i can play generator defense in Firefight. I want a multiplayer Gametype.

Bloom fix, and toggle

Don’t get me wrong, i do not hate bloom. I believe it needs to be fixed, to make it very inaccurate when spamming,
Also add a toggle. This would turn off bloom for ALL PRECISION/ HEADSHOT weapons, it would change the reticle to
only expand 15% of the normal bloom, also there would be a setting to completely turn it off.

Grenades need to be dealt with, nerf the fuse timer and make it 50% longer, also mae the explosive radius 10% smaller.

Balance Armor Lock; Make it so the Power meter of Armor Lock goes down faster when being fired upon, can sustain 2 grenades, 1 rocket, 1 plasma overcharge, 2 AR Clips, 1 Splatter. Also make the time is around 4 seconds, 7 is just too long.

SHIELDS LOLOMG!

I hate how long it takes for shields to re-Charge, make it more like 5 seconds for Spartans, and 4 for Elites. Also it would be nice for the shields to recharge quicker, but it isn’t necissary because it is already an option.

  1. Remove bloom. NO ONE WANTS IT!!! your PRECISION weapon shouldn’t miss if you RETICLE IS RED. Sooo stupid.

  2. Fix the melee system, sprinting to your enemy just to double beat them down why they are shooting should NOT be a legit strategy. Just sayin. This includes clashing with a sword…i mean seriously whats the point of having the sword if you are going to clash.

  3. Theater mode needs to let more than just one into it. This is important for casual gamers who get excited about something random, or MLG teammates who want to cover strats or review scrims.

  4. Bring back a ranking system to make the game fun and something to be legitimately proud about. I personally dont care if someone is a Hero, but if someone else was a 50 then d*mn sure i was looking out for them.

  5. If you go into a playlist (specifically MLG cause it stands out the most) with a party of 4 then get matched up against a party of 4. Not against 4 randoms who quit cause you and your teams communication and teamwork overwhelm 4 individual going in different directions. Gets old.

-Bloom toggle
-Strafe acceleration
-Damage modifier

  • Bleedthrough toggle
  • Remove jetpacks from Arena(WTF?)

-Make the classic portion of the HCE multiplayer as close to the original as possible

There you go Reach is a good game.

  1. Completely rework Armor Abilities. Make it so there is an option in custom games for them to drop after the person using them is killed. And then, all gametypes in MM should get tweaked in such in regards to AA’s: AA’s should be map pick ups, and placed on the maps as points of contention with fairly long respawn times (120-180), it should be set so that when a person dies their AA falls off their body and is reusable, no player should spawn with AA’s, and there should be 3-4 AA’s on each map (about). Finally, each AA should have a very obvious visual indicator to let other players know a player is using a particular AA. In order to satisfy players that like the current Reach, there also could be gametypes in playlists in which you still spawn with AA’s. But honestly, they just don’t work off-spawn. Period.

  2. Custom Options as follows: to tweak and remove bloom, and bloom should be removed on all single shot weapons in MM and reduced by at least half on all other weapons. Grenade options (damage, radius, bouncing, range, etc). Bleed-through option. Sword Block option. Ability to regenerate health without health pack. Fall damage. Etc. (okay, so this one is kind of several changes, but you know).

  3. Individual Weapon Modifiers. Would solve so many freaking issues.

  4. Rework vehicles. Ghost needs a buff (both in terms of damage and health), Warthog needs overheat removed, Banshee needs serious nerf, Revenant needs buff, DMR and Sniper need to do less damage to vehicles. Custom option should be added so that vehicle health works more like in Halo 3, or at least so the way the player takes damage is tweakable.

  5. Increase kill times for non-power weapons to Halo 2ish levels, increase player speed and jump. In particular with weapon damage increase, buff the Plasma Repeater, Spiker, AR, Needler, Plasma Rifle, Plasma Pistol, and Needle Rifle (Plasma Repeater, Needler, and Plasma Pistol were perfect in the Beta). Also buff Plasma Launcher so it’s between the death-cannon it was in the Beta and the Why-did-I-pick-this-up?-piece-of-crap it is now.

Do all these and Reach becomes close to the best Halo of all time. I don’t know if 343 has those kind of kahona’s though, because those are some serious tweaks.

  1. Decent ranking system (Preferably 1-50)

  3. No AA’s in ranked (which I hope there will be)
  4. Less weapon damage on vehicles

  2. Fix AAs in general (manly AL)
  3. lower bullet magnitism for both the DMR and sniper rifle. Headshots are WAYYYY too easy
  4. Fix nades: Decrease damage or decrease the blast radius
  5. Modify individual weapon traits for Custom games. (individual damage, and rounds per mag)

Well here’s my " top 5 ", should be more like top 100 lol

#1 Total Reticle Overhaul
Removal of Recticle bloom completely and returned to Static Recticles. Decrease the opacity of recticles ( Darken them ) and increase/decrease reticle sizes on certain weapons. Such as the DMR, NR, AR, Plasma Repeater, etc. Also Passenger view for Warthogs and Reavants, Increase the degree of view.

#2 Weapon OverHaul(s)
Restore certain weapons to there beta traits such as the Plasma Launcher, it is truly worthless now. Return the rising reticle recoil effect to the DMR and the pistol. Increase base damage of certain weapons. Also for the love that is all halo, make plasma based weapons have some bite when damaging a unshielded opponet. I can’t stress enough how fast it takes out shields but your base health lasts 5x longer then your shield does. So please let the plasma rifle, repeater, and pistol, kill an unshield opponet effectivly.

#3 Bleed Through Effect
This has been in every Halo title, so why does Reach defy that? Return it back into Gameplay.

#4 Grenade/Explosion Redesign
Reach’s grenades are really funky and weird. The damage is random and its distribution, the physics are weird ( they either bounce like rubber balls or get stuck on a surface that they should bounce off of ), and trajectory should be modified ( the speed you throw it at should be increased or the angle ). Truly in my opinion, they should be either replicated to halo 1 or 2. I also believe the Grenade Launcher should have more bang and radial damage.

#5 BRING BACK POWERUPS
I want the Return of OS and CAMO. Remove Camo from AA’s and turn it into a power up. I miss fighting for a power up and then feeling greatly satisfied or even overpowered when I am rewarded.

Thats my top top 5, other then that add some more armor perms and maps, Please, thanks.

1.)Remove bloom, but change the rate of fire on the dmr and pistol to balance that out.

2.)Fix the melee system to Halo 2s/Halo 3s.

3.)Less kill trading and stop his gun from firing after i already killed him. (this happens all the time)

5.)If I get a bulltrue, how do I still die? And get rid of armor lock and replace AAs with powerups (camo, overshield)

1.) Loadout traits

3.) Weaker grenades
4.) Less damage done to vehicles by the Sniper and DMR, probably halve or make it a third of its current damage.
5.) Nerf the Banshee bomb blast radius slightly and its unlimited rolls and flips. Or change the bomb damage to that of the Revenant. Big Boom, weak blast.

  1. Make all reticules static instead of trying to fix bloom.
  2. Buff plasma weapons.
  3. Add bleed through.
  4. Make obvious tweaks to Armor Abilities.
  5. Huge expansion to Custom Games options.

  • Fix Bloom
  • Fix vehicle damage, make it like halo 3
  • Fix overpowered grenades
  • Make better/Creative maps; The maps on reach are so dull, what happened 343? halo 3 had great maps

  • More creative forge world maps with objects, like Sandbox. The itiems on forge world are dull and all grey.
  • idc much about the armer but I suggest more armer and more secret helmets like the haunted skull.
  • Less power weapons on the maps.
  • The quiting system, Whenever I play a match someone(s) quits 80% of the time.
  • The super jackpot weekend is useless
  • Bungie/343 you guys should make another type of armer like (recon) or flames and re add bungie favorites and people who get on the favorites get rewarded that type of product, to motovate people of forging maps, and getting more creativity with custom games
  • File share; it has to be fixed. halo 3 had the fil share right. Also pictures. Pictures will never be the same like halo 3. Nobody ever looks at each others file share anymore because its broken, one must wait for pics to load… ect
  • The arena, it has to be fixed
  • Halo 3 equipment was great like the bubble shields
  • Fix ranking system. Every match is the range of 1-3 thousand credits and halo 3 had it right.
  • THEATER FIX only one person can watch a video?!?!!? and in the prevouse halo you could have 4. That makes no sence at all.
  • Health pack/bar is useless.
  • Two sword guys shoot at same time and both die, need to be fixed with sword battle,especially with grifball and custom games

My top 5:
1.Reduce the effects of armor lock SEVERLY(Less time, more time to recharge, no EMP,Not completely invincible)
2.Have an option to remove fall damage
3.More forge options
4.Remove radar blocking for allies in active camo
5.Ability to lower weapons online for Machinimists

You’re in luck, that’s the only part of the Title Update that has been confirmed.

Correct, but my top 5:

  1. Remove Bloom, obviously compensate for this with slower rate of fire/lower damage per shot, please bring back the gameplay that made Halo fun.
  2. Remove AL in any gametype that could be construed as competitive, it’s silly and slows down the game so badly.
  3. Nerf grenades a little bit with either possibly damage or radius reduction, or as i’ve seen, a fuse increase.
  4. Reduce Melee damage, make it like the MLG settings.
  5. Couldn’t really think of a fifth, as I dont think there’s any saving the ranking system for this game.

Bonus want: 343, please use this experience of Reach as a reminder that Halo fans don’t want to see gimmicky things added to gameplay as a way of making it “new and fresh”, all additions since Halo 2 in terms of gameplay have detracted from the game aside of weapons additions.
