These are sort of drastic changes, but if I were in charge I would order them to be implemented.

Removal of Bloom on all weapons. Put skill back in Halo, and remove the randomness bloom causes. No one who I play with or play against paces their shots in 1v1 battles DMR vs. DMR. There’s not point to do that. Just remove it, for it wrecked gameplay for Reach. Establish a rate of fire for the DMR, Pistol, and NR.

Bring back ranked and social playlists. Have a return of 1-50. Trueskill is non existent in the Competitive playlist, and that’s been obvious since day one. The casuals need a social playlist and the players who want to play against players of similar skill need ranked. Rid us of this linear b.s. ranking system. High ranks in this game can be achieved through solely playing firefight. That’s a joke. The Halo 2 1-50 ELO was amazing, and should be considered.

Set AAs to pickups on the maps. This is one of the more tricky changes. But it is widely accepted that AAs ruin gameplay and things are horribly unbalanced. I’m looking at you, Jet Pack and Armor Lock. Personally, I would rather play with no AAs, but I don’t think they would be completely removed. It’s not Halo when you see someone Armor Locking, a guy levitating through the air and shooting you, having your radar jammed, and a guy sprinting at you with a sword.

Have Halo 2/3 like player traits. Jump heights need to return to what we saw in Halo 2 and 3. We need that to be able to dodge grenades better. Also movement speeds could be similar to what MLG has so that we can strafe effectively again. At least remove the strafe acceleration. With the bullet magnetism in this game we should be able to strafe like we did in previous Halos.

Fix grenades. They are simply ridculous in Reach. A grenade thrown at you that is not even perfectly placed can kill you if you’ve lost just 20% of your shields at full health. They are far too powerful. Sound too powerful. Their fuse is too short, don’t bounce enough, and damage too large of a radius.
Title update with these five things and you instantly have a much better game. Other things to consider would bleed through on melee attacks. The whole melee system is a mess, and lesser players achieve kills through a cheap double beatdown. Slow melees in this game and set melee to 75% damage. Also, weapons are too powerful against vehicles, so perhaps nerf precision weapons against things like the warthog.
If these changes were to really happen, with a ranked and social playlist, and more skill involved, Halo could actually top the charts again and not play second fiddle to Call of Duty. Bring back what made Halo 2 and 3 king of the charts. You know what did exactly that, game designers.

The first one is actually impossible, but something I will probably never stop asking. Everything else is pretty reasonable.
- increase jump height and speed (see halo 3 for reference speed/jump)
- fix ALL armor abilities
- Armor Lock; nerf it single use, full cooldown period every time, no 3rd person camera, shorter length of lock
- Sprint; no melee after sprinting for 2-3 seconds
- Jetpack; (remove from multiplayer, it’s too game/map breaking in most instances)
- Drop Shield; (remove from multiplayer completely) or make map pickup - do not regenerate health in shield
- Active Camo; remove motion tracker scramble, decrease length of invis, increase cooldown, make invis true invis where you can move around without being seen (see halo 3 for what invis is supposed to be) - make map pickup
- Evade; remove from all Spartans, at all times, except for in custom games (even Zombies should run, not roll)
- that’s all, just two things.
- Bloom
- Armor lock
- Take out sword block
- Remove radar scrambler from active camo
- Fix custom games
So that when I get a bulltrue against a zombie they don’t infect me afterwards!

FIX or REMOVE Bloom. Without a doubt the single most crucial thing I would want to see.

Increase base player jump height marginally so that movement feels less restricted.

Provide a competitive playlist with incentive to improve (i.e. visible ranks)

Have AAs as ‘pick-ups’ so as to encourage and foster tactical gameplay for map control (it’s meant to be Halo we’re playing after all)

Bring back melee bleed through. This would eliminate the double melee sprint nonsense, and bring back skill into close range combat. This way when you are shooting someone your bullets actually count and one melee will kill a low shielded opponent. Which would as well eliminate the double melee deaths that happen far too often. And Remove Sword Block from regular melee’s.

Fix Bloom on the DMR. While I like the bloom mechanics and truly believe they favor the smarter player (knowing when to change ROF depending on the situation), its obvious it does not work as intended due to the volume of complaints. That said as far as a Halo game goes that always favored consistent accuracy and movement, I do NOT like bloom in the game.

Armor Lock, Active Camo, Jet-pack, and Drop-Shield need to be removed from the starting Load-outs on all playlist and changed to Pick-ups on the map. Armor Lock should be replaced with the Overshield Power-up.

Reduce the Banshee bombs radius to a effect kill box of 5 feet from the center. Allow for the special abilities like back flip and barrel roll use the Banshee’s stamina bar to eliminate the ability to constantly roll. As well the missile lock tone should be brought back to flying vehicles when locked on from the Rocket Launcher and Sticky Launcher.

Reduce the damage that small arms weapons does on light vehicles to encourage the need for power weapons against vehicles. Its not right that everyone starts with a anti-vehicle weapon. The Scorpion and Wraith tank should be impervious to small arms but be able to be damaged at weak points such as hatches on both tanks, as well as the rear exhaust ports. Reduce the amount of damage that the Sniper rifle does to vehicles as well. Its a Infantry rifle not a anti-everything rifle.

for infection: option of % of alpha zombies (like halo 3), have point for being in a safe heaven or for reaching one and have an option to make the zombies be elites and the humans spartans (or spartan zombie and elite human)

For invasion: make an option so you can have different traits for elites and humans and bring back the beta colors (elites are blue/purple and spartans green!)

for every gametype: Shield decrased that you can die from it, unlimited grenades, specific loadouts traits, shield vampirism, halo 3 power ups, team traits, vehicule traits (example: 200% resitance in vehicules, 150% speed, 50% dommage…)

I can’t believe that it needs to be said, but this is so true: Do NOT remove any options from Halo 3 if you bring VIP back, 343! Only ADD options, like Loadouts and AAs. Bungie chose to remove many options from existing gametypes, like percentages of Zombies, and Alpha Zombies, from Infection.
1.Toggle bloom on off and have it as a custom game option.

4.Fix so the juggernaut can have other weapons then the hammer
5.Theater 4 party

Dedicated Infection/Alpha Zombie maps (i.e. maps catered to the zombies, not the Spartans; not playing Infection on The Cage and evading off the map every two seconds).

A playlist where your chosen character (Spartan or Elite) allows Spartans and Elites to play together. Nobody cares if the Elite’s hitboxes are too big; if you don’t like it, don’t be an Elite. Simple.

All the community maps taken out of matchmaking and replaced with GOOD community maps. Most of them are terrible. Yeah, maybe for Arena people like perfect symmetrical boxes where you can shoot anybody from any point on the map, but I like maps with flair.

Fix Plasma/Frag Grenade damage (or at least made it consistent). How many times have you thrown a grenade, had somebody walk on it and not die? Yet, every time a grenade rolls to your feet, YOU seem to die. ODD.

I know it’s probably impossible, but if we could break Armor Lock, that’d be cool. Kind of like how the drop shield can be broken?
- Fix DMR bloom; make it slightly bigger but faster reset time. Also add a bloom toggle.
- Individual Weapon Modifier.
- Fix Vehicles in general; get rid of all of the glitches with the Revenant, massively weaken the damage done to them by the Sniper and DMR and for GOD SAKES weaken the Banshee Bomb!
- Bring back no bleed-through melees.
- Weaken fragmentation grenades in strength, but maintain the radius and PLEASE make a grenade strength changer option.
Boy, it was tough narrowing things down to 5. This game needs a lot of work, but I think it can still be fixed. Hopefully this TU is MASSIVE.

Fix bloom, either by removing it altogether or tweaking it to disincentivize spamming at mid- to close-range.

Nerf the everloving crap out of armor lock. Suggestions: no camera movement while locked, fixed lock duration (once you are locked you are locked for several seconds), no plasma grenade shedding. Or just remove it as a loadout altogether, but unfortunately that’s less realistic.

Reduce vehicle damage from DMR and Sniper and have the AR play that role, similar to how the SMG was a banshee-killer in H3. Two long-range, hitscan vehicle killers is way too much, especially considering that you spawn with one of them. This would also have the welcome side effect of making the sniper less of an all-purpose god weapon, and hopefully reduce the number of idiots betraying teammates over it, but that’s another issue. Also, if you do this, you will need to nerf the Banshee to compensate, but I think we all knew that.

Fix the horrible betrayal booting system, and remove the in-game quit ban messages. For example, if you betray someone on your team, and there are no enemies in close proximity and none in your sights, the boot option should appear. Team-killing for power weapons is almost never punished. Also, there should probably be an exception to the rule above for splatters, since people love to get in that little gap on the side of the wraith and make you betray them.

Nerf frag grenades. This could be done in several ways: reduce blast radius, reduce overall damage, or just increase base player traits like movement speed and jump height, which should probably be done anyway, IMO.
