The TV series trailer aired yesterday, and gave us a general look at the plot. It’s important to remember that it’s non-canon, so no need to worry about overwrites/contradictions. What’re your thoughts on the trailer?

It was better than the teaser we were previously given. The Elites look significantly better than they did in Halo: Nightfall. I expect the acting and the CG work to be competent. That’s the extent of the positive feedback I have. I have no optimism for the writing, based on the previous teaser, and all of the other information we’ve received since the show was first announced.
It was laughably bad for me. My GF actually did laugh quite a bit.
An AK? A 2001 Chevy Tahoe? Phil Collins “Coming in the Air Tonight” Sounds like a terrible reboot of a 2000s action flick, not Halo.
I am quite excited, some more Halo content for me to indulge in. Lore accurate or not, I’m on that Pelican.
Yeah, it’s a real shame I’m more scared than excited. This is Halo’s 1st attempt at live action on this scale, and I think it’s not gonna stumble, but sadly prob faceplant. Hope I’m proven wrong.

I just think fact it’s on Paramount is an automatic no. I am not going to get another subscription service. Amazon/Audible I get all my free audiobooks plus deliveries. Disney Plus is absurd the amount of content they put out. I just don’t want that many direct debits leaving my account. Especially not for one show.
On that subject. They blatantly want their version of the Mandalorian and that’s a tough act to follow.
Also, I didn’t realise actress playing Halsey wasn’t Jen Taylor at first. I just assumed that since she was doing voice of Cortana she would be doing Halsey in live action as well. Which tells me initially they had wanted her to do voice of Cortana with a British accent. Obviously, plans change.
The more lore accurate the show stays and whether or not they actually use halo music will really sell the show to me. But I don’t even own paramount+ so it doesn’t effect me much.
