I have been playing Team Regicide ever since it came out earlier in the week, I have actually enjoyed it. Me and my friends have been playing this greatly and we have been winning a ton of matches. Overall, I think we should keep the playlist. Back to the question:
What are your thoughts on Team Regicide?
It’s like team slayer with an added objective and no personal ordnance. My favourite game style is free for all though so I stick to FFA regicide.
Its really fun and fast, problem will be when you get bad teammates.

If you have bad teammates you’re always king and therefore, the other team’s bullet sponge.
I really like it. My only complaint is that it ends too fast. I think they should up the amount of points to win. I think it’s better than FFA Regicide.
It’s awesome, and should permanently replace the FFA regicide playlist. Bring out a rumble pit playlist, and replace regicide with team regicide.

I can understand how people hate Free for All Regicide, but this gamemode is team based and gives both teams an objective, very well designed.
Free for all though just punishes the person in the lead.

Not necessarily. If you can hold your own as the king you can win no problem even if everyone is trying to kill you. If you want an example, just check this game I played of it yesterday. Granted three people did quit out but it was still 4 against 1.

I’m having a blast with it, but it does seem like it’s way too easy to get the reign of terror now.
And, on some maps *cough, complex *cough, it’s just pathetically easy to overwhelm their king, especially with the sniper rifle.

Standard regicide still gets close to half the pop that team regicide gets. If anything remove ffa throwback as it’s got the lowest population and keep both. FFA throwback is just this weeks temporary playlist though. However much I do like free for all I have to admit it’s more fun having the objective. Oddball and Koth FFA however are terrible, terrible game modes.

There are games that I can show you where the person with half the kills and twice the deaths won. Your best bet is actually stay in 2nd or 3rd place until the end, and when you do take the lead you let someone kill you (unless you’re near end of the game of course).
just had a game of this after not playing all week. really enjoyed it hope it stays round for a while. although my team didn’t protect me as king at all only just lost but still was very fun.
Much better then the FFA variant, although I do think it would be better with some design changes.
Better than FFA, but it seems that the entire strategy as the King is to simply wait for the Reign and Terror before actually doing anything.
For me, it’s pretty much just a way to play Team Slayer without personal ordnance. I could of course play Slayer Pro, but due to it’s low population, me living in Australia, and the awful matchmaking system, I can only ever play on an American host, so Team Regicide it is!

Pretty much never join solo ever. I do get spawn killed a lot in this gametype but I love Haven for Team Regicide, went 5x times in a row and loved it.

If you like regicide but your friends don’t what choice do you have? Don’t play something you love or chance going in alone. While it may be a bit unfair when you get a higher score but somebody gets more regicides and wins the match that way, that’s just how the game works. More points for a king kill, unless you don’t care about winning it should be a no brainer to hunt down the king. The only troublesome part is when Kings have overshields. Personally I love being the King in free for all regicide because I know it’s an even greater challenge in staying alive and maintaining my status as KING.

It should stay a while like SWAT, although I wouldn’t know which to play then xD
