I had someone message me today that my victory wasn’t a real one because he’d seen my arena stats and “I needed something to be happy about.”
Now, for someone like me, I like video games. I find them enjoyable. Halo has always been one of them. I play Halo because I enjoy it.
I’m not the best player but I’m not the worst either. Play the game however you’d like but realize that most of us are here for fun and our stats really don’t matter to us.
I bet everyone checks your stats before they reply.

I’m with you, but some people need artificial reasons to feel good about themselves.
Someone messaged me “You only won cuz you killed all the bosses” I said I’d save him a boss next time

nice
If you need to feel good about yourself, check out my stats. They are atrocious.

Your stats aren’t even bad. But it depends on the person. To me, my personal stats matter a lot. Even down to how many kills I average.

Better yet look at mine! Lol
FYI stats DO matter.

They do but they dont. When a person has to deal with a lot of quiter regularly it can cause you to have less wins. K/d drop. Csr drop. And if you are having a lag problems can also affect your performance.
Stats should matter to only one person; YOURSELF. If you don’t care at all you have that right, but if you want a 5.0 KD avg that’s fine too. But nobody should be able to judge you for your stats. For Example, In Reach, I tried to maintain over a 1.0 KD for individual games, but my overall KD was below since griffball was my most played gametype (and goodluck maintaining good stats in that mode lol).
welcome to the era of hyper-competition for Halo, where they suck out all the real fun that can be had and replace it with the constant desire to win and spend money to get what you want quicker.

Nope, I’m replying and I won’t check. Stats do matter however. It is human nature to compare ourselves as well as challenge ourselves to get better. What doesn’t matter is what others think of you as a gamer in reference to your stats.

LOL OP I’d be saying the same thing about stats if my KD was as bad as your’s!*
*before you point to my bad KD and win %, please know that my other account has a 2.5+ KD and a win % of 70% so sit down
I check my stats every now and then cause its kinda cool how they keep track of everything.
However, the stats don’t determine how I play or how much fun I have most of the time

That’s exactly what I did lol.
OT: To you stats may not be that important, but to me, having a high win rate and K/D is very important. That’s just me though.

And numbers. Always numbers.
I’m blind in one eye so I no longer have depth perception. Having +1 is a bonus for me.

Agreed. Well said.

I promise you that don’t, one guy killed me and 15 seconds later I got a message and this was only in the first 3 minutes in a warzone game… but the trick is to not let this thing bother you
