As it says! Your Spartans story.

I did this back on the BUNGIE Forums of HALO 3 - REACH, and now I feel like I should bring it back out of retirement.

Requirements:
Spartan Name: First and Last
Spartan Number Or words/leters: 4 Digits.
Armor Permutations: You know the drill.
Armor Colors: Same deal, you know the drill.
Playstyle/Gametype Most frequented: … Like CTF
Fav Weapon: …
And last but not least, give me a quick run down of the Spartan’s personality, and I’ll do my best to write you a short story. I’m doing this very quickly right now, and please be patient! These things take time! Here’s an example…

Spartan Name: Luna Knightmare
Spartan Number: LUNA
Armour: FOTUS Helm, Recon Chest, EVA Shoulders, FOTUS Legs, Venator Raptor Arm. Cyan Visor.
Colors: Blue and Light Blue.
Playstyle/Gametype: Many.
Fav Weapon: BR/AR
Personality:
Strong leader, prefers to defend objectives, likes closed in spaces, prefers hand to hand combat over long range, decent sniper, authority issues.

Something like that. And heres a taste of writing, I’m sleepy so bare with me until I’m more… Awake.

Mission One: Nexus Temple. Distress call, from science team and Spartan team Burgundy. Possible flood infection forms detected. Send TYRANT for collection of data, followed by HAZOP. Search and Rescue Oceanic team Ravens en route.

Luna shifted uneasily in her FOTUS armor. Possible flood was something she didn’t want to deal with. Especially a smash and grab mission for ONI. And she wasn’t alone. The rest of TYRANT seemed tense, rolling their shoulders and trying to limber up inside the pelican.

“Lieutenant if Burgundy is asking for help, why are we only going in for the data? ONI Doesn’t usually, give up on Spartan teams so quickly.” Tyrant Rogers asked resting his helmet on the empty seat next to him. Luna glanced back at him, and grabbed the bladed horn of her own helmet.

“Because Rogers, all FOTUS operators are meant for this… Speed. Run in, gather what we can and run like hell back out.”

Okay okay lame. Not so good writing, but hey my eyes are half shut and I have to go to work. So I don’t have much time to make this pretty, and awesome so when I write yours please bare with me and expect something better… Then the atrocity I just wrote.

Performance:

X-118 has shown a completely serene mind even while under heavy duress.He is even respected among the ranks of the ODST for his role at providing Overwatch and “Ghosting” both friendly and enemy forces when necessary. Like most Spartans his actions speak louder than words. But unlike most Spartans,according to all military channels,he simply does not exist. Has proven himself to be a very effective Shock Trooper outside of long range engagements.

Comments:

X-118 has had numerous psych evaluations regarding his complete lack of emotion when a team member has been badly wounded or killed during a battle. We have also integrated his childhood friend Lina now named Krescent-121 into the Nihilus Project to create a small and independent team of highly classified Hyper-Lethal Spartans. It must be noted that both Spartans have shown a high physical attraction to each other when off combat(This behavior demands further study).As most Spartan II’s he demonstrates great fondness for Dr.Catherine Halsey and now harbors great hatred for Spartan Lt.Commander Sarah Palmer for undertaking the failed assassination of Dr.Halsey. He now remains very wary of Admiral Serin Osman’s every order.

Mindset:

Quiet like most Spartans,almost to the point of being mute.

  • Very observant and detail oriented.
  • Quietly sadistic (must be observed)
  • Fascination with dismemberment.
  • Blames himself for the death of his other childhood friend Cal-141 at the hands of a Jiralhanae Chieftain. This event has left him emotionally and mentally scarred. His rate of communication has since dropped dramatically.

Notes:

X-118 has been given total freedom on how to deal with targets and his favored tactics are stealth and assassination.It should also be noted that he is one of only three Nihilist Spartans in existence.

Choice of equipment:

Sniper Rifle System 99 Anti-Matériel,Modified Active Camouflage,has also modified both his gauntlets to house a plasma blade on both wrists,how he modified these too take a crimson shade is a mystery. Before Spartan 117’s apparent death he requisitioned a custom Mjolnir Recon armor set.
Has recently adopted a mixture of Deadeye/Soldier gear.

Past Assignments - Battle of Harvest,Battle for Reach,Battle for Earth,Battle on Delta Halo.

As final comments on performance:

X-118 has had trouble following chain of command to the point of once firing upon a superior officer after ordering a full retreat of all forces on a botched high value mission on Delta Halo’s Quarantine Zone. Cpt.Thomas Lasky of the UNSC Infinity has been instructed to keep Sarah Palmer as far away from X-118 as possible. He operates exclusively at discretion of the Office of Naval Intelligence [ONI]
