The podcast revealed that the way matchmaking and Spartan Ops works is you build up your spartan through matchmaking then you take your Spartan into Spartan Ops. This confirms your not playing a predetermined character. Super Excited about this.

I’m honestly excited to see how Spartan Ops will turn out in Halo 4. playing my own spartan and bringing him into the same world as Master Chief, but in a different point of time? Doesn’t get any better than that.

We got the confirmation from Josh holmes himself.
And im not upset about it. Im Happy about that. They can invest the time into something more important. With armor sets he talked about how ur spartan will look like. So it will be a Halo3 kinda system
