I’ve always wondered what happened to the rookie after ODST and since the spartan iv’s are volunteers I was thinking maybe your spartan iv is the rookie. Just a mini thought

Maby the rookie has become a Spartan but the spartan you play as in MP is no one else but yourself.
what these people said. The campaign, Spartan Ops, and all of Multiplayer somehow connects to each other. So if everyone was the Rookie it would make no sense.
You play as yourself. However I would love to see the entire Halo 3 ODST’s show up in Spartan Ops. Loved that game. Firefight was done right, I still play it on occasion.

No, everyone’s Spartan IV is their own completely faceless Canon character. Not an already existing one.
It’s not “Your Spartan IV is one Canon character” it’s “Our Spartan IVs are 100s of 1000s of Canon characters”

The Spartan IVs are veterans that want to keep fighting except in a different way and as far as I’m concerned the rookie is still fighting but one of the Spartan IVs in Spartan Ops or Campaign very well could be the rookie or anyone else in Halo 3: ODST but I highly doubt it.
Silly boys, we all know the Legendary ending cutscene is The Rookie coming out of nowhere, punching your Spartan in the face, and taking off his helmet…oh so slowly…and it reveals…
