Considering how much inspiration 343 is taking from Infinite, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Needle Rifle and Plasma Repeater come back. The Plasma Repeater has been seen in some Infinite labeled MegaConstrux products and it was in Halo Wars 2’s Brute Rifle concept art so there are some things that suggest the Plasma Repeater could finally make a return, but the Needle Rifle is just a weapon I wishfully think should come back.
Another returning weapon should be the Spiker. It’s a Brute classic, and since 343 said they want to embrace damage types in the January Inside Infinite, I think the “molten” property (including presumably the Stalker Rifle, Scrap Cannon and Spike Grenade) could be one.
As for new weapons, I think there’ll be like a double barrel Brute shotgun. They said there is “a new, never before seen weapon filling the role of the classic shotgun” in the Ask343 Sandbox Team video, so it would make sense if there was a DOOM Super Shotgun esque Brute shotgun instead.
Controversial opinion, but I would like to see the Sticky Detonator return. Lots of fun kill possibilities with it.

I don’t think this is controversial, this was a well liked strong weapon and I was mad it wasn’t in 5.
I want to see the M90A Shotgun and the Spartan Laser from Halo 3 coming back in the upcoming Halo Infinite. I also want to see the DMR Rifle from Halo Reach coming back in the new Halo video game.

Also not sure i think this is controversial. I would love the return of this gun, I personally wished it was added to Halo 5.
Wouldn’t mind seeing the reach spiker along side the banished spiker, same ammo same damage etc purely an alternative model that can appear

I’d also like the Spiker Rifle and the Plasma Rifle from Halo CE.
Plasma Rifle, Sticky detonator, and DMR I would like to see.
Give me the Halo 2 BR and sniper and I am set.
