Your Opinions

I know the gist of how the Community thinks of the games that are produced, Ive even gotten in heated arguments with downright trolls who don’t have much to do with their days.

So, for fun and curiosity reasons, I’m just throwing out a poll for the forums to have an idea on the status of the Community and/or the toxicity of it.

The last option was the closest to my opinion in that while I am aware of the many issues Halo 5 has brought, I still enjoy the gameplay and more offered by it and believe that with just a little more patience, it can become a wonderful Halo game.

Agreed, enjoyable game with promise imo

I like and support Halo 5. But that doesn’t make me a 343i fan boy.

Both Bungie and 343 have made good games and games I didn’t really care for due to various beaten to death reasons.

I like most of what halo 5 is. It’s not perfect, it’s still improving and it’s better than anything Bungie has put out since halo 3, in my opinion.

I like good games, I’m not loyal to any developer. This 343i vs Bungie routine in these threads is getting comical. Reminds me of all the middle aged ladies jumping on team Edward or team werewolf dude ( whatever his name was) when twilight was a thing.

#team I don’t give a crap who makes it, the game is fun.

Yeah I know this was me kind of addressing that, I personally love the game regardless, but there’s so much hate thrown at it simply cause of the studio for no obvious reason that it’s hard to ignore

To me Bungie created one of the most unique shooters of all time, while also being quite competitive in its own right. However, they kept watering it down from game to game, and that damage they did to the franchise was never reversed by either them or 343I. Bungie both created and destroyed Halo with their own hands.

In comes a new developer. A clean slate, a chance to genuinely drive the gameplay forward and right past wrongs. Yet the very first thing they do is sell Halo out to the CoD crowd. They give us a collection of the old games that doesn’t work and that they abandoned support for completely. They gave us Halo CEA and Halo 2A…but completely half -Yoinked!- the multiplayer side of both. They’re giving us “free DLC” which is just repackaged launch content, while shoving terrible microtransactions down our throat.
343I doesn’t exactly inspire a vote of confidence.

That said, people aren’t bashing Halo 5 because of the developer. Halo 5 has enough problems of its own. While there’s no Ordnance, there’s also no Fileshare. While there’s no armor abilities, there’s clamber ruining map design. While sprint is nerfed, now we have smart scope. In a way, Halo 5 just exchanged Halo 4’s problems for equally heavy problems.

There’s a long list of things I could provide my thoughts on, but short version: Halo 5 is just mediocre all around. It’s not terrible, it’s certainly not the worst Halo I’ve played, but it’s still so heavily flawed in such a wide variety of areas I can’t see why people so vehemently defend it.

I haven’t stopped playing since it launched, so I’m happy with it.

I enjoy Halo 5. It’s not flawless, but I like it.
