Which Map do you like best?

Personally, I like Harvest because it shows a virtual version the UNSC training base before it was invaded/glassed by the Covenant.

What’s your Opinion?

Personally, I don’t like any of them… But if I had to choose, then Wreckage. I’ll always like anything to do with The Flood… Especially when that something is an Anti-Flood Ship planet! xD

I didn’t get a chance to play Harvest, but the other 2 were pretty terrible.

Same formula as Solace (worst map design EVER…) basically flat ground, some rocks and other “walls” sticking up for no reason… Shatter was basically the same map was wreckage but with two towers.

Than again I’m biased as I’m a much bigger fan of indoor- 4v4 maps than BTB

Me neither. Truth be told, if this is the quality we can expect from future map packs full of bs glitched cheevos and crappy design, then I’ll be really pissed I paid so much for a DLC Pass.

I like shatter.

I didn’t find too many problems with any of these maps ;\ I think I like Harvest best though, no Mantises, etc…

I played all 3 for a few hours last night. IMO they are exactly what was missing from the launch maps – large, distinct, easy to navigate and very pretty to look at. Provides great medium-range battles and excellent vehicle routes.

These maps are smooth, reminiscent of the first 3 halo games rather than Reach’s sprawling offerings or Halo 4’s cluttered disasters.

Well done, 343, these should provide the variety that matchmaking so desperately needed!

Love harvest and shatter. Nice to see some balance and symmetry in Halo. Wreckage however feels like it was just thrown together.

I’m not the biggest fan of Wreckage. It’s cluttered nonsense. But I really like Harvest, and surprisingly, Shatter. Harvest reminds me a lot of terminal, and it’s nice to see a medium sized map that could support either 4v4 or 8v8. Shatter is easy to navigate, and while I hate the teleporters, Isn’t half bad.

I only liked Harvest.

Haven’t played enough games on them to make final judgments, but my initial impressions on just a few games each are that Harvest is good and the other two are OK at best.

The map design is just too cluttered. Far too cluttered. Harvest is the only one that is somewhat intuitively laid out as well.

Who knows… maybe after a few hundred more games I’ll feel differently and really like them. But for now, I’d say that we got one good map and two average/below average maps.

Could be that I’m just not an objective guy and these maps were pretty clearly designed with objective gametypes in mind.

Personally, I like all 3 of them. Though if I were to pick which one I liked more, I’d pick Harvest. Great vehicle and infantry map. Had plenty of moments hugging the rocks away from ghosts and warthogs long enough to have my team come by and help me out.
Shatter is a great btb map.

I have only been able to run through them in forge so far.

Harvest (I think that is the name) seems to be based around a similar design to Rat’s Nest. Hopefully it plays somewhat similarly so objective games will have another nice symmetrical (mainly) map.

I like all of them but i like harvest the best. If only ppl would use warthogs more, it would b even better

I didn’t think I’d like them, since they all looked the same in the trailer; but honestly I’m really liking them. They are better than most of the BTB maps we already got through the default game.

Wreckage is def my least favorite though. WIth Harvest being amazing fun with CTF =]

It’s not bad but still dissapointed.

  1. All three maps are BTB. (I don’t care if the dev said one ‘can’ be 4v4)
  2. They all look very similiar. Dark, rocky and pretty bland.
  3. Map flow is ok but still slow paced.
  4. Extraction debut does not play well on that map.

The only thing I like about the DLC is actually the ability to play BTB CTF now which runs relatively well on Harvest.

I like the smallest map of it, got there in my First Game Rampage and Killmanjaro,
The others are ok, the Map with the Mantis are good for Extraction and thats it .

I haven’t been able to play on Harvest yet, but it looks rather nice. I so far greatly enjoy Shatter, especially with Extraction. It has decent vertical and horizontal balance, plenty of cover, and vehicle shenanigans.

I like how Wreckage looks, but for CTF it’s absolutely terrible. Their placement was stupid: one flag is in an easily defensible area with walls and cover and such, and the other is in a wide open area that’s impossible to protect, especially with a bad team. It took all of three seconds in forge to find an infinitely better flag position (back wall, elevated area).

Harvest is way too small to be BTB

TEY ALL SUCK WORSE MAP PACK EEVER CUZ THEY AREN’T 4V4 MAPS.
