First, as a new member of the forums, i would like to say that compared to other forums i have seen *coughbattlelog, not everyone is a complete -Yoink-, for that i say thank you.
second, i know this has probably been asked alot, but what is your opinion on the new armor?
I kindof like the new spice it adds to the game, like Master chiefs redesigned look, but i also think 343 totally butchered some armor variants like commando.

never been a huge fan if the tankish look of the old armor, I like the new streamlined look. I like the muscle nanosuit underneath the. metal shell
with the in mind some of the helmets are a tad esoteric but as ling as Locus and pilot and dead eye remain the same I should be fine
Some of the armor looks a little…strange. But for the most part, I’m a huge fan of what 343i has done with it, and I think almost all of it looks great!
From what I’ve seen and heard, a lot of people are really dissatisfied with the armor selection, many of them stubbornly insisting they’ll keep the Recruit armor their entire Halo 4 career as a sign of protest. Personally, I think this is foolish–the enemies, the setting, and the very game evolves and changes, so why not the armor as well?
It is true that some seem outlandish but that’s more than fine by me. We’re even keeping a bunch of very normal helmets like the Mark VI, Warmaster, Aviator, and Enforcer to please the people who can’t stand change.
My personal opinion is that the armor is great, coupled with the fact that there’s just so much of it…I’ll be sad to see anyone who’s made progress in the game still with a Recruit helmet in matchmaking.
((As a side note, really liking the Deadeye, Enforcer, CIO, and Protector.))
I personally love the new armor. I didn’t really like much of the armor in Halo: Reach. Too bulky. I like the new athletic look to it.
I like the new armours. Some of the helmets are questionable but hey, it’s the future… the heck do we know about what’s functional? 
Armor is fine, it’s just the large amount of weird helmets.
I like the new look of armors, most of them are designs we’ve never seen in Halo before, and it also fits with the UNSC’s new toy that is Infinity.

I also like the new look, but the old armor was equally awesome. The only helmet i kinda like so far is the aviator helmet, no other helmet is really grabbing my attention. on the plus side,they seem to have added a lot more customization options.
Like some of them but not all.
I like the armor a lot, generally. My only problem is that some of the helmets look just plain bizarre. I mean, some of them don’t look like they’re made for humans…
I like the new Chief, even if it doesn’t make sense, and I like a few of the new Spartan-IV helmets like Recruit.
That said there are an awful lot of horrid looking designs like, as you said, the butchered Commando, Engineer, Pioneer, Wetworks, CIO and on and on and on. It’s a real shame that 343i have spent so much time and energy on these new helmets that look terrible when so many great helmets haven’t made it into Halo4 like classic Mk V, ODST, CQB, Commando, Mk V and even genuine classic designs like old EVA.
I really don’t understand what 343i are thinking half the time. They seem to be making really obvious mistakes.

Yeah, this is pretty much what i was referring to. Helmets are the only thing seem really different. like that scanner helmet lol.

At first I didn’t really like the new armor but after a while I started to like it, I really like the look of Oceanic as well. I will miss some older armors that won’t be in the game (like Security) but they can’t fit them all in!

I kinda like the new armor. Some of it does look kinda weird (mostly helmets), but overall I think it looks pretty good. I do think a lot of the chest pieces look alike, though.
I can’t believe the ODST helmet and the mark IV arent in Halo 4. Make the game your own 343 but dont mess with classics. especially when you’re going to add some new weird looking helmets.
I just don’t like how the under armor looks beneath the torso. It should be black, not the same color of the armor.

i like most of the new armor, but i wish they didn’t change it as much.
and no Mark V is a bit of a bummer.
