Your Opinion for Halo on PC

There was an article I saw called “Microsoft Hints that Halo 5 could Launch on the PC” and obviously said on the title that Halo possibly could be on PC. I was never a big Halo fan once I bought my white Xbox One Master Chief Collection back on June nor am I a PC gamer since I own a Mac. So I don’t want to judge whether it should be on PC or not but I want to know everybody opinion on this.

Why not? If it is released on Windows 10 it cannot be hacked or pirated and it could allow for cross-platform gaming, thus ensuring Halo 5’s population for a very, very long while.

Microsoft has a chance no other company has ever had in any moment during gaming history, they have the chance of expanding their services to two platforms, one of which is used by 80% in any modern country.

Otherwise, Steam and Sony are going to pick Windows and Xbox apart slowly.

I would love to see a Halo on pc again I would buy it even if it wasn’t on steam.

If it was released on PC two things would happen. 1) PC fans would rejoice 2)Console fans would either not care or be disgusted. If it went to PC and allowed modding, the amount of Halo mods that would be produced would be insane, I have many PC orientated friends who would love to mod the crap out of halo. Cross-play is a big thing for the future connection of the two consoles, if cross-play is allowed for Halo it will obviously increase player pop. However there is a flaw, keyboard and mouse has always been better than controller for whatever reason, console players would obviously have a disadvantage when it came to multiplayer.

Some may say “no keep it an exclusive to xbox, it is its big hitter” which may be true but it cannot be the xbox’s only game. It may force Microsoft to invest in new IP because people are not buying xbox just for halo. If they can get it on PC, they will take that route. The creation of new IP would draw those players into purchasing an xbox. So if halo went to PC, it could be very positive.

All I can say is Yes!

I see no problem with it.

Whether you want to believe or not the future of xbox is possibility a windows gaming pc for the living room with its own ui. Phil spencer head of xbox is even thinking about bringing 360 and original xbox games to the pc. Here’s an article click here. Xbox one may possibly be the last console they make and if halo becomes a pc thing just imagine how much better it could become.

We already have a thread discussing this that is at least 12 pages long.

Previous Halos are on PC and the world didn’t go up in flames, so I don’t think another one would hurt.

The main issue is the community. I fear it would turn into the fallout community where people who buy on console are heavily scrutinized and made fun of by those on pc.

If Halo 5 comes out for PC, that means I bought an Xbox One for nothing. I build PCs in my spare time and I have a very nice gaming PC which is where I buy most of my games. Playstation has the only exclusives I care much about. I started playing Destiny on PS4 and that’s what got me interested in trying Halo. It’s really the only reason I bought an Xbox. I’d hate to have a $500 Halo themed doorstop.

That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want it on PC. I’d prefer all games on PC, I’d just be upset about buying a useless Xbox.

I wouldn’t get my hopes up for cross platform play like KI. Xbox users wouldn’t be able to compete.

I have a grudge against (Halo 5) PC gaming. Here’s why:
I like xbox because almost everyone starts off with similar or same hardware.
I dislike PC gaming for Halo 5 because hardware is extremely varied.
Halo 5 is about fair play, multiplayer at least. Keep that in mind.
If halo 5 comes to pc, it would be anything but fair play compared to xbox. You have these lower-end gamers that lose fps and graphics, and probably only uses a keyboard and mouse, maybe a headset, for input. The high end gamers have full-on pro gaming gear or something near it: They could have a mouse with allot of buttons, countless marcos, high-res graphics and high-response keyboards/mouses. And don’t forget the high end PC and monitor that won’t miss a frame. People tend to overlook this problem. But it’s no longer skill, one can have a bunch a gear costing hundreds or thousands of dollars designed just for gaming designed to be better than the other ones in many aspects. That player has every advantage against the other low-end player, even if it’s slight. Now it’s not a battle of skill, but a battle of gear and some skill. And that doesn’t go down smoothly on a game that favors fair play.
With the xbox, players have similar computing hardware. Almost no one can best another player on gear. Almost. Now, we’re having these modded controllers, keyboard/mouse adapters etc. That is ruining the public xbox gaming experience, even if it’s slight. But nevertheless, it’s better off skill wise than pcs.
Basically, have people compete with the same gear and you’re set for an actual skilled match. I could write a paper on this if I wanted to. I would advise Halo 5 staying an Xbox game, it is the flagship game of 2015 of xbox. Porting to PC could lose players from xbox, and that costs 343 and Microsoft $ compared to if they don’t. It’s a risk, and an irreversible one too. Halo 5 is a skilled game. Any player could get fair gameplay on a $350 xbox one. But port over to pc, and you can get your high end gear for hundreds or thousands of dollars to gain an edge over players in a game that has defined skill for many years (and counting).

Keep Halo 5 skilled.

Destroya out.
