Your hopes for Warzone Firefight...

I was disappointed with the beta, and I’m hoping the final release will be much better. We all had problems with the “Defend the Garage” objective, and of course a lot of people are upset that Warzone Firefight can only be played online with a limited number of rounds, and no custom game options.

I for one didn’t like how all enemies on the map died as soon as you completed the objective for each round. That wasn’t any fun. I enjoy slaughtering hordes of Covenant and Prometheans; we should have to clear out all remaining enemies after the objective is complete.

Being limited to 5 rounds stinks as well. I’ve been thinking… maybe they could have a Warzone Firefight playlist that goes to 15 rounds? Or perhaps a “Warzone Score Attack” playlist; I enjoyed Score Attack in Halo: Reach, and I prefer to play alone, so it’d be nice to have some single-player Warzone Firefight… especially since it seems we’re not getting offline functionality with this game mode.

I also wish they would remove the level requirements for Loadout weapons and Armor mods in Warzone Firefight. Just so I can play with my Halo 2 Battle Rifle from the start, and make the most of weaker vehicles like the Warthog and Ghost with the Wheelman armor mod.

What about you guys; what do you want out of Warzone Firefight?

My take.
I enjoyed the beta. Defend the garage was challenging, and I enjoyed the challenge.
Great idea on the enemys sticking around for extermination.
I liked the 5 round limit. Don’t want to spend an eternity on a game. But would be ok with increasing for single player.

The only things they really need to change is that the round lengths should be increased, spartan lives need to be added, and the amount of rounds need to be increased. Firefight becomes a chore after eight rounds or so a limited amount of rounds is fine its just needs to be increased from 5 to like 8 or 9.

Lives will prevent Spartans from just throwing themselves into the enemies and dying over and over, the beta had no real risk reward system and thus ones stress each round was basically non-existent (making it boring).

I dont really care for offline or not, I find wave based modes uninteresting after the first few games, even with customization options they are still basically the same round over and over. For those that enjoy it though sure add it like I said it makes no real difference to me personally. I

m all for the objectives and randomness of the rounds as they were, some waves were easy while others were challenging, just as they should be so i never understood the “the garage round is too hard.” Not every round should be a walk in the park. Should the amount of knights be dumbed down a little, ya sure but I hope they dont make it a cake walk.

I enjoyed the beta quite a bit. I think it will be tricky to make changes that appease both the people who liked the garage and wanted more challinging rounds and those that felt it was too intense to be considered casual. I do really hope they implement lives though!
