You should add a poll to the OP. It is interesting to see where everyone started and read their stories, but it is a bit difficult at a glance to determine which game was the most common first given the size of this thread now.

Halo CE on the original Xbox at a friend’s place. Back in the good old days.

Spot on my fellow Spartan. At the time it’s so very small, but years down the line it’s incredible. I love the memories and even more excited for the new one’s with Halo Infinite.
CE on the original Xbox. It was one of the first games I played. I was a kid though so I would always play to the level where the flood is introduced and stop because it was terrifying.

I am older relative to the people who play Halo now, but my first Halo game was Halo CE. The nostalgia I feel replaying Halo CE Anniversary brings me back to when I was 10 years old, discovering the mysteries of the Halo ring with my best friend all those years ago.
I played Halo: Combat Evolved first back in 2001, but I didn’t own a Halo game until 2007 when Halo 3 came out. I don’t regret being a PlayStation 2 guy in the early 2000’s, but I do wish I had an Original Xbox.
Halo 3 was my first one when I was 3 or 4!
Halo CE followed by Halo 3. Played Halo 2 at a buddies house but that was after release of 3. I played alot of CE lol
OG Halo. I used to play Halo and Halo 2 all the time in university along with age of empires II

Started with Halo 3 local multiplayer on my older brothers xbox when I was younger, but my first real Halo experience was Reach.

CE was my first i’ll never forget the late nights playing campaign and mp at a friends house.

Halo CE or Halo 2 can’t remember, around 2005 I played both games. First MP with Halo 2 vista and later Halo 3 MP on xbox in 2010.

Sadly it was 5 that I first played didn’t know about MCC but MCC was bad back then, only had xbox 1. That was also where I played gta 5 as a kid so that was weird. But first had 5.

Halo CE I got it with the Xbox my Nan bought me for Christmas the same year the original Xbox released been a big Halo fan since
Halo Combat Evolved on the OG Xbox. I remember bringing home the system and the game from GameStop and it was an experience. I kinda fell off of gaming when the PS2 launch but when I saw Halo on the Xbox I snapped back from whatever slump I was in.
