Firstly, I cross-played a forge with a fellow Xbox Player (I am PC)… all was well.
Afterwards, we tried to queue a MP Social Match… each and every attempt after, even when I separated myself from him and queued solo, has been met with the same response as the title of this OP. I have restarted my router, computer, and all the ‘works’… to no avail - yet alas I am still able to Forge with him over Crossplay… any form of matchmaking is met with the same response as in OP title.
Are there ports I need to open for this flight… is anyone else experiencing this? I do not, at this point, think I am alone in this, for I even opened my router entirely for a short while and it did not avail the problem…
Advice, please?
Update: Restarted entire computer - reset in-game settings to factory default (Only way I could find to reset the Matchmaking Input preferences [??? curious, but noted anyway]). Restarted once more - used nothing but pre-plugged in Xbox One Controller from PC boot to navigate into MCC Halo 4 Flight and into Matchmaking - same issue. Far as I can tell here, unless someone has a bright idea, it’s not related to my input device…
(Edits for clarity)
Oh sorry - important to note - when we queue together he gets into the game (and either leaves or completes it) whilst I get put back to the main menu with the response as in the OP title.
Am I the only one?
I have this problem too. I am playing on the same wifi connection on a pc with my dad on the Xbox and it won’t connect it will boot one of us from the game. I don’t know what’s wrong all the devices are discoverable on the same connection which was the problem for connecting on the same connection for two laptops but we can’t get the Xbox to connect to both laptops it just gets interrupted
edit I fixed it the Xbox had to host for some reason
