Your choices

Del Rio: GIVE ME THAT AI!!!

John:
( X ) No Sir.
( Y ) Hold Y to deliver a punch that might kill him.
( B ) Explain the situation in regards to Cortana and hope for the best.
( A ) Force your way out of the bridge with soldiers chasing after you.

Whatever follows these actions is up to your imagination. Which would you choose?

So… You want ‘Mass Effect’?

Of those choices, I would punch the captain.

PLZ no.

and i would choose punch.

-Push (Y)
-Chief proceeds to punch Del Rio.
-Del Rio does a back flip and a nearby table edge hinges on his chin, severing the skull from his spine (like a no blood decapitation or hanging)
-Palmer jumps at Chief
-Chief intercepts by grabbing her head while she is mid jump and he throws her to the ground.
-Chief says, “The fate of humanity is at stake from a force far more powerful than the Covenant. We can not allow the Didact to escape and rally his forces.”
-Palmer replies, “You assaulted this ship’s commanding officer and you expect me to believe it was a for a ‘noble and heroic cause’?”
-Chief turns slightly to look at her over his right shoulder and asks, “Are you a puppet or a Spartan?”
-Palmer stares in confusion.
-Chief continues: “…We are soldiers. It is our duty to protect humanity and stop all opposition to that objective. Del Rio represented a direct threat to that objective and therefore a direct threat to humanity.”
-He then turns to her and offers her a hand to get up.
-She accepts.
-Chief then looks at Lousky (no I can’t spell his name) and says, “Lauch all available craft to follow and suppress the Didact. Then fire the Infinite’s main battery once the ship is in position. We need to finish him off while he is weakened to finish this fight.”
-Lousky replies, “I hope you know what you’re doing,” as Chief leaves the room to make his way to the hanger bay to wait in a Pelican in case the confrontation needs a more direct approach to find a solution.

That was fun, and no one needed to be vaporized. Yay

The entire time we spent with Mr. Del Rio he seemed stubborn and unwilling to listen to John whatsoever so trying to reason with him would of been moot, as such I would of simply picked John’s path and just respectfully said no sir and left the bridge.

LOL, so it’s like Mass Effect?

I’d rather see Chief make his own choices and see this “Mass Effect” choice-thingy in Spartan Ops or something, so that we can feel like our very OWN Spartan. Chief is supposed to be his own character.

I’d give him a…

I didn’t think of that fact that someone could do multiple punches…

Anyways, this was suppose to be a little bit of fun, so don’t take it too seriously.

I didn’t take it seriously, I just made up a story that followed as a result of my button pushing…

I wasn’t directing that at you, you made a very nice follow up with your end.

Even mine wasn’t serious. it was a play on words and icons to describe a fighting move the chief would pull off.

I mean, the chief steps up to him and gives him 3 punches and says “No sir.”

This is Halo, not Mass Effect. As such… it should be press ( B ) to punch him, ( X ) should trigger the dialogue, ( A ) should trigger the last option, and doing nothing (after 10 sec wait) chooses the default response (No sir). ( Y ) should skip the cutscene like normal.

OT: I’d go with the last option, I’d have so much nostalgia (CE PoA invincible marines is miles better than what they tried to do on Shutdown).

I’m very happy to not be the only one who thought of Mass Effect when reading the OP.
