Your account is not authorized to play Halo Infini

I have recently been invited to the second Flight of Halo infinite. When i logged my account that received the invite through Halo Waypoint and it said “Your account is not authorized to play Halo Infinite”. I tried to change the password multiple times among other things and nothing seem no fix the issue. Anyone knows any other alternative ?

Same, if anyone knows how to solve this, it would make my weekend. I even tried exiting the game and reopening it but it didn’t work.

same (xbox) I played the bot arena earlier today, but now I am getting the not authorized notice.

EDIT: Hard reset worked for me on the second try

Idk if this helps but I restarted my console because it downloaded overnight so it didn’t naturally restart when I turned it on this morning.

Restarting it worked

Hello,

i got the same problem 5 minutes ago. I terminated the game over Taskmanager and restarted it over Steam. Logging works for know.

I think it’s just super buggy. I’ve been able to get in OK sometimes, and I’ve had to restart the game tons of times.

I’m having the same problem, I assumed that maybe I’m too early but that doesn’t seem to be the case and I’ve tried restarting the console twice so any help to fix it would be very much appreciated.

I managed to get in one time by going into the insider hub then to see game in store and launching it from there but since then no dice.

This is on Xbox

Edit: after leaving the program and unistalling I rejoined, then restarted my Xbox, then I reinstalled and after multiple tries was able to get in. Hope it helps guys.

It is probably a bug, I was able to finally play last night, and today, was going to play a little before work
and it gave me this error, going to try the fixes I saw, hopefully it works.

I also tried everything but it just doesn’t work on my series x

For both me and my friend we just had to restart the game and it fixed it if that doesn’t work then I would try uninstalling and reinstalling.

I have the problem, and I restart the Xbox. I get in in the first attempt. Hope it helps :3

Xbox One user here. I was having the same issue this morning and here’s how I fixed it.

The Infinite demo was fully updated but was giving me the error

Turned off and unplugged my xbox for a about a minuet so it reset

Uninstalled the insider app and reinstalled it, when I selected the halo infinite preview it took me back to the store to download it (it said I owned it but I clicked it anyways) it then downloaded another very short quick update.

From there it let me in!

Hope this helps!

I play on a series x and had the same.
I’ve fixed it to go to the xbox dashboard , and close the game at the more options schreen if you standing on the game
After that, start up the game and it works fine.

I also had this issue repeatedly on Xbox Series X

Deleting my saved game reserved space fixed it. Not sure if this will work consistently, but it worked for me a minute ago:

  1. Quit Halo Infinite - Insider
  2. Open Xbox Guide Menu
  3. Select Halo Infinite - Insider and open “Game options”
  4. Select “Manage game and add-ons”
  5. Open “Saved data”
  6. Click “Reserved space” and choose “Clear reserved space” in the dialogue window that pops up
  7. Open Halo Infinite - Insider and try again

Hope it works for some of you!

Same thing on PC here

Was having the same problem on PC but restarting Steam fixed it for me

If you are from PC, close the game and restart steam, now go back to steam and open the game now if it lets you log in with your account and the unauthorized account error will no longer appear.

Hey Halo Insiders! FYI we are aware that some players are running into a “You’re not authorized” error when trying to launch the #HaloInfinite preview build (even if you were able to play prior). This is an issue on our side and it’s being worked on. (1/3)

This error can also arise if you’re not on the gamertag you registered with and/or if another account is logged into your console at the same time. (or in rare cases, it could be a totally diff issue) No need to reinstall the build and there’s not a problem with your key. (2/3)

Speaking of keys - we are aware of Steam folks who received invalid keys yesterday (“Already redeemed”). We’re working to remedy that, please stand by. Reminder: if you run into bugs and issues, please visit http://insidersupport.halowaypoint.com to file a ticket! (3/3)
