give us complete creative control of gametypes through customization, for everything from health to the size of weapon/vehicle reticles, to locking certain AAs and choosing what people can use in loadouts.
ADD A SINGLE DEDICATED SERVER to the game that is controlled externally by a competitive organization, like MLG.
You should note that you only speak for yourself with your suggestions. That level of customization seems like overkill, and how would MLG controlling one or two Halo 4 servers do anything good?
You’re not really speaking for the whole competetive fanbase.

You can already adjust everything that you said except for reticle size in Reach, which I assume will all be carried over to 4. Sooo it’s all goooood.

how in the world is it overkill?
how is overkill a bad thing?
I would prefer someone other than MLG but i cant think of anything else. MLG given the proper tools can make the vast majority of competitive players happy.
Therefore my suggestions wouldnt be making the whole competitive community happy, but MLG has complete creative control so they can make whatever the competitive community wants.

when i was talking about AAs a was also talking about “banning” certain loadout weapons, and specializations i was hoping people would take that out of that sentence.

why so?

Yes, i am. If MLG or someone has complete creative control, they can create whatever this fanbase wants.

Your suggestions make no sense. I say overkill in regards to health and reticule manipulations, though I suppose pointless is a better word. Customization is never a bad thing, but I personally don’t see the point.
As for MLG being given control of anything outside it’s own playlist, I would be strongly opposed. I am a competitive player, but I do not like what MLG does, and would prefer as little interference from them as possible.

I’m not particularly sure of what you’re trying to convey or inquire, but I trust you have the best of intentions lol. In any case, I think we both agree that these types of things must be customizable so people can both exercise their creativity and play the way they want to play if it’s not otherwise already provided.

Im not a big fan of MLG.
How is any of the things pointless? how is giving the possibilty of making halo play however we want it to pointless?
what would be any DOWNSIDE to giving MLG a server? i dont like alot of stuff they do but its better then what 343 is doing.
Heck give me a server, ill make everyone happy.

Better than what 343 is doing? You haven’t seen all of what 343 is doing. Mlg didn’t do anything but playtest and give feedback. What is MLG doing, they are just giving feedback like the rest of us. I don’t see how you’ve made such a quick conclusion based off of infinity slayer - (Because that’s all we really saw in mp).

How is overkill a bad thing? Hmm well let’s see, if we had a huge assortment of customization options like what you just described, there could be a chance that we have 100 or more different variations of Halo 4 gameplay. This is a bad thing. Not only would it separate players, it would also be very confusing for a lot of people not knowing which variation of MLG or whatever that they will be playing.
Less is more. If they have basic customization options for MLG like movement speed, jump height, etc., it would not only be simpler for everyone but will also let MLG players actually adapt to the new gameplay and become better as players. I want it to be like Halo 2 and 3 where everyone gets the same game right out of the box and not be worried about all of these changes to different playlists.
I’m fine with all the specializations and AA’s but if MLG removed JUST those features and not all of this other crap like changing reticle size and whatnot, it would feel more like everyone is playing with the same settings.
how about those in charge of halo have control of the halo 4 servers. why would they let another organisation have access to it’s own private server for MM?
> Less is more.
A shame that 343 doesn’t feel that way.

No its not. thats a very, very, good thing. Assuming they dont all have their own playlists.
The possibilities of custom games havent even begun to be used.
I hate this idea. Freaking mlg players ruin halo, they break it down to bear bones and then claim that is the only “competitive” way to play. Because they are too big of pansies to learn a new game so they try and turn it into something they already know. I am extremely competitive, and I find your idea appalling, do not speak for me. Change is good, i dont want another halo 3
> how about those in charge of halo have control of the halo 4 servers. why would they let another organisation have access to it’s own private server for MM?
you obviously need to learn how to read properly. give them their own dedicated server, not access to 343s.
Im sure customs will have a ton of options. But honestly bro, if your that upset with Halo 4, you shouldn’t even get it.

The only additions I’ve seen are specializations and AA’s for the basic gameplay which aren’t even that bad anyway. I’m sure I will be able to adapt and accept the new gameplay.
