You want feedback? Well here you go

It does and all everyone keeps saying is “bUt tHaTs a hAlO 5 fEaTuRe”

Go back to halo 5 man. Infinite isn’t your game apparently

Getting real tired of people like you.

Re read the post. And re read it again a third time. The last paragraph was specifically for people like you.

This is why I made my last about about nuanced debates because some people can’t talk about finer details. They see Halo 5 and have a knee jerk reaction. All of the things I listed above can be in the game without Halo 5 exsisting. These are features I would’ve asked for regaurdless if Halo 5 had them or not

Thrusters are useful still but…its like neutering a dog that used to guard your home aggressively. It’s now whimpering in the corner. Cowering to the grappleshot who has crowned itself watch dog of the year. Where the grapple slide is literally the equivalent of 2 movement sequences in h5…maybe even more man lol

THANK YOU. And the other guys is like but that’s Halo 5 asking for the thrust slide. Like bro you can already do the moves with the grapple. They gimped it for nothing

They gimped it because it went with an idea that people ultimately didn’t like.

To this day, I still don’t know how to play Halo 5 competitvely because of how much effort it take out of me just to get simple things like the AIMING down.

Without a doubt, that game had the worst aiming out of the entire series and the fast movement didn’t make things better in the slightest. If you had asked me to go back and play a game, I’d go directly to warzone firefight because that was just about the only part I enjoyed/was good at.

Unbeknownst to everyone else, I had a pretty rough time playing Halo 5. I was frustrated, angry. Still trying to wrap my head around why it’s so hard to kill a single person. You couldn’t miss a single shot or you were dead. You had to be perfect. I would really rather not go back to Halo 5

You have no proof of that. If anything people using thrust slide all the time is proof that people did like it. In fact the thruster pack and anything that had to do with it was highly praised for being fun and tactical. You know what wasn’t ? The spartan charge and the ground pound. They removed both for HCS. If thrust sliding was a problem they would’ve removed that too but they didn’t. Even funnier is that it used to be stronger because of the super slide and they fixed it but still kept the thrust slide itself. So everything indicates that they just removed it just because. More proof of that is the grapple being able to do the same move. A thrust slide is simply just thrusting and sliding. It gets your slide going faster. With the grapple you can swing yourself then land in a slide this making the slide go faster. Basically the same exact thing. So why does the grapple have that move and the thruster doesn’t? No one has explained why yet.

Serious question how is aiming down sights hard for you? It’s like like it actually affected your aim. It just gave you more red reticle range when zoomed in. If anything I prefer aiming down sights because it’s asthetically cleaner looking

Idk what your talking about. The aiming was fixed. Yes it was trash in the beginning but all the aiming issues got patched.

THATS WHAT I LOVED ABOUT HALO 5. you had to be perfect. You actually had to be GOOD. It being complicated is what made the game shine in my opinion

If people liked it, then why is it gone? Where’s all the high speed movement tech, hmm?

Aiming down sights was never the issue. It was the controllers that were utterly trash and slow.

Halo 5 had a 12% axial deadzone hardcoded into the games aiming making it feel awful compared to the other games.

I felt it. Others felt it. That’s the main reason I quit. I spend 2 years working on my aim and it just felt like garbage.

And that’s the problem. Nobody is perfect. It’s not fair for their to be such a skill gap. That’s not what halo was about.

It was about fun. There’s no reason in the world for a halo game to demand so much from a player. You had to be PERFECT not just good.

Yes and remove also Rocket Launcher, Skewer, Cindershot, every weapon that does more damage than BR / AR

First you are talking about ranked, now about social? Ranked has no radar.

Sidekick works perfect how it is. Dont touch it.

Melee exists in all halo MP. In Halo 5 it was not common, because you had more possibilities to evade like thruster and higher speed.

No, the pace of halo infinite is not that fast like the pace of halo 5. So the shield ability to regen while running has to stay.

What? So all people are waiting and spamming grenades when someone wants to get such an item? Because everyone knows where this items spawn?

Yes, its annoying that weapons, power ups are swapped from match to match. But i get used, and i like it.

You have 28 replies and 1 like. Seems like your feedback is not liked by the community.

The flow of the maps and weapons is absolutely fine.

I’m getting tired of people like you who want halo infinite to be a copy and paste of halo 5 gameplay wise. Go back and play that game since you have such a hard on for it

28 replies. Thousands of people that play. Your argument makes no sense

You do post a lot about how H5 is better - why not just play it?

You seem like someone who came to Infinite after alot of Halo 5, which is fine, I did too. Champion rank in Snipers and SR152 but even I can recognize that alot of your feedback is just nit-picky or not the best ideas. I’m glad collision isn’t in the game because I was tired of my teammates blocking me inside a room or moving me when they walk into me. Collision adds nothing but frustrating moments into the game. The clamber works just fine, I think it was intended for it to allowed to be cancled mid-clamber. Just keep your stick forward and you won’t have any issues climbing.
The energy sword is fine right where it is. If you repeatedly die from it, do something about it. Use a repuslor, keep them at a range. It’s not op.
The radar range is way too short, I agree with you on that. Same with momentum for thrusters.
More ranked modes are already confirmed to be added in asap, they just take longer to implement than social versions.
Rotations for equipment and weapons are intentional and a great design choice. This makes players think, makes them have to use the sandbox effectively and prevents the maps from getting repetitive and stale. It’s a new experience every time which is good because it means people can’t just use a meta strategy every match.
And again if people are killing you with melee alot, stay back ffs. Get good at the game man, asking for a melee nerf? Really?

I agree with the ghost clambers, radar range extra modes and detailed stats .

Everything else I disagree, some of them are copy and paste from Guardians,a game I dislike so much to the point of not calling it Halo, just like 4. Only reason I played it as long as I did is having a friend that liked it, and me being too poor to be able to afford other games at the time.

For example, no shield regen whilst running, it already takes forever to regen, especially if hit by a shock weapon like disruptor( i think it was 10s or more of no shields).

Oh boy, here we go.

My dude you are describing what I call a fake-out, and it’s incredibly useful if you start doing it on purpose because it throws off enemies who think you’re going one way but instead go somewhere else. You may also turn auto-clamber off, which is what I’ve done so that I can achieve more advanced movement control. At first I didn’t think Halo needed Clamber but it’s fun so screw it, keep it the way it is.

Excuse you? Don’t you know that the sword has been THE melee power weapon since H2? Skip.

Agreed. Motion Tracker range should be extended to be equivalent to Reach’s tracker extending to 25 meters.

Added to “One guy’s personal wishlist.” And then skip.

Same as above. Most of us are making good use of the thruster pack as-is and buffing it will not make typical gameplay more fun. Skip.

At least FFA and Slayer.
SWAT was always sort of a casual game mode since it’s too Call-of-Doot to be considered core Halo gameplay, and therefore undeserving of a ranked version since the only metric you need to excel in is reaction time and aim.

Another one for one man’s wishlist that doesn’t need to change at all. Skip.

Please stop, this is embarrassing to watch. Skip.

The problem you describe is not a problem, please stop giving them your bad ideas. Skip.

This is already a feature. Your shield recharge delay resets when you take damage, but the delay is fairly short and it’s up to you to account for this when an enemy leaves your line of fire. Skip.

Thank God you are not a game designer this is a truly awful idea. Skip.

Nah this is fine the way it is. Skip.

I do agree with this. Stats are fun when you’re getting bored and feel like polishing your stats.

People have been using the “Run up and melee after AR or BR” since at least Halo 3 (as I never played Halo 2 Xbox Live MP at the time). It’s a pretty standard Halo thing. Almost like Halo bread and butter.

Also, when you say “remove the sword from competitive play” do you just mean Ranked? If not I gotta say I disagree. Halo has always been great for its crazy weapon variety and chaos in MP. That one guy with a Sword rocks the boat during the game. It can be frustrating, exciting, empowering both trying to get kills and trying to kill the Weilder. Ranked should be the place for pure competitive play. Otherwise you just stuck the fun out of MP.

Competitive play needs to be fun to play as well. Even moreso, because people may be watching.

No sword in arena. Just played a game and all the other player did was run up to you with it. Annoying.

Running up and meleeing wasn’t in thing in halo 5 as it is now. That’s why it’s annoying. You used to be able to thrust away or thrust slide away. And with no Sprint in classic halos you weren’t running up and meleeing

Melee is completely wrong and different from every previous halo we’ve all played.

For example on how wack it is in infinite.

Health is 100% and Shields 40%
Your a one hit melee kill???
This makes no sense and I’ve tested it.

Health 100% and Shields 0%
Your a two hit melee kill??

So just like we’ve all been so used to the gameplay from previous halos is to strip their shields and one melee hit them for a kill but it doesn’t work like that in infinite…

So in a fight when you pop the enemy’s shield and go for a melee hit they don’t die…you do!!!
They get your shileds down to 40% and smack you once for a quick kill.

So anyone who knows this is abusing this broken melee mechanic right now in infinite. Everyone is just barley shooting you and then rushing you to get that one hit kill.

In all honesty the best melee mechanic from any game I’ve played was Apex and 343 should of learned from them.

Apex has no lunge with the melee rather they have a knock back trade off which is better and more balanced than a melee lunge. Also the melee isnt that strong so you have to focus more on actually shooting in a FPS game than swing your elbow.

Apex IMO also has the best looking melee animations in any game with the punches being a big wind up and even jumping with a flying kick. I always wanted to boot a grunt but 343 still just have the same lame elbow or weapon swing.
