You say you want change, but yet you embrace the idea that Halo is turning into Call of Duty, which means they same thing over and over, game after game, Year after Year. Get a grip please
*This is a message to the blind fanboys to whom in there eyes 343 can do NO wrong, which they will continue to blindly praise despite that the core halo gameplay is being dismantled. This message will hopefully bring you back to earth, because like you keep proudly saying “The game isn’t out yet so don’t judge” this goes TWO ways, you can’t be so proud and Happy with halo 4, because you haven’t played it and from the information have heard about halo 4 I’m not happy. And so should you.
Change or Sabotage?
Like I have said you claim ever so much that you want change for halo 4, that halo 4 needs to evolve. and you know what you are absolutely correct. but the key question is what to? Halo always been evolving always been changing Look at the Trilogy or are you blind stupid and up your own a** to notice. The key question is what, Innovation and improvement will be welcomed with open arms. But what you want is Call of Duty, the exact opposite of what I want the exact opposite of innovation the exact opposite of halo. Then you have the cheek to say why this OUTRAGE is happening, Get a Clue fanboys get a f****** clue.
CoD =/= Innovation
CoD is not change and not what we want, we have made that very clear. Call of Duty is the same old crap put out year after you as activision tries a new scheme to get everyone cold hard cash, call of duty is a game where innovation is no where to be seen, unlike these forums CoD fans don’t have a voice in which they can share their ideas. well they do activision just doesn’t listen to them, as they pump out the same old crap, again and again time after time. and yet you have the cheek to say “we don’t want halo 3.5” but yet you embrace the idea of CoD, which basically means that 343i is conforming to the mainstream game rather than being it’s own game being Halo, the Epic series that I want it to be, the series that set the bar for fps.

Unlike you I’m not as fickle as you, nor as ignorant. I don’t just buy Halo games just because of the name, I buy Halo games for the content I expect to be in it, the core Halo experience that all halo fans enjoy, and unlike you that’s NOT allowed to change that is what make a series a series, that is what make halo, Halo.
Do whatever you want 343i, Just don’t call it Halo. At least bungie had the respect to leave when they wanted to do something else.

We have no idea how these new game mechanics will work. just because they sound the same as CoD doesn’t mean they will work the same. take spartan ops as an example. everyone jumped to conclusions saying it was exactly like spec ops but it isnt its four player online coop with an evolving campaign that will intercept with the main campaign in some way. 343 will be realeasing new missions for it either weekly or monthly. it might sound like CoD but we wont know for sure until we get the info. i dont want halo to be like CoD either and if after we get the more information it turns out to be a copy of CoD i will be just as mad as you. but we simply dont know enough to be saying that its CoD.

Every game has been a copy of the last one no matter the series. Every video-game has to have innovations in order to prevail and get another sequel or game or whatever. GoW had horde mode which came before Halo’s Firefight so does that mean that Halo is now GoW? Wait there are plenty of games that have a endless wave game type. Loadouts? Well there are plenty of games before CoD that had them, the only reason you are saying this is because CoD and Halo are rivals (or use to be) and everything has to be so different.
What I am trying to say is nothing in the Game Industry is really innovative anymore. Everything is just a repeat with a new twist to it, and better graphics typically. 343i is a AAA Game Studios with tons of combined years of experience and will NOT mess up the series because they know what they are doing.
Wait to play the game to see, because no one knows except them. Also Bungie left Halo because they wanted to make their own new IP, they couldn’t see the themselves making Halo for the rest of their life and their contract was just about to expire.
a) Let’s see how 343 implement these global trends. If expected 343 not to pander to the global FPS trend, you have never heard or know of marketing.
Let me give you an example, the iphone. Before the iphone phones can be all different shapes of sizes with wacky slide and snap phones being the “in” thing. Then after the iphone became the massive,popular and easy to use phone, all other phone companies basically copied the iphone. HTC Desire, Sony Xperia, Galaxy all copied the style of the popular iphone. Why? Because it made money! You would be mad to see an iphone practically own the market and not try and take a piece of its money!
Put yourself in 343’s shoes now. Or any other game developer. COD and Battlefield make huge, earth shattering amounts of money. Whether or not it is a good game, it makes a boat load of money. You are sat there in 343’s marketing department, wondering how to make money on your next game. You are saying that a game developer would not follow the global trend? It would not try and make as much money as possible?
It happens every where. Look at trailers for example? How many trailers do the deep double noise after Inception did it? Battlefield did it. Far Cry did it and I bet you many more films will.
If you claim 343 ignored you, look around. It is life. Deal with it.
