I see a lot of people that say screw Halo 4 destiny is where its at. and I’m just curious what Destiny will bring back for some fans that Halo 4 lost.

To be quite honest, nothing. Destiny is not going to be focusing on competition and will probably not be very similar to the Halo gameplay. I heard it’s mostly casual and cooperative play. Those who say screw Halo 4, Destiny all the way are usually blind Bungie fans. I will wait for the reviews to come back before I consider purchasing the game.

Im sure it will be true to classic bungie which will be nice but atm it is too soon to determine how the gamr will truly be.
Ive heard its supposed to a mix of rpg/fps/mmo kind of thing. Its gonna be a big feal I believe.
It sounds like borderlands except it demands you play all the time. I don’t feel like I want that sort of commitment to my games.
I dont like it , it sounds good but to time consuming. Like I would have to spend more time playing it then I wanted . Ill be sticking with Halo
God I hope not, I hope they squash any competitive group that starts demanding the same thing every time in a new Destiny game. It sounds like they are going to have the option for competitive players, but if they are smart they’ll say this is how it is and nerf yourself.
It’s Reach, Borderlands, and Planetside 2 in one game, so take your BRs and play Halo and stay here, god I hope they get their Halo3 so it means they actually stay away. I certainly don’t want the NO crowd ruining anything else imaginative.
I expect Destiny to play like Destiny.
It’s just that I see comments like Halo 4 is awful I’m not playing Halo anymore when destiny comes that will have a proper rank system and I say to myself do you even know what Destiny is. I’m pretty sure those people are trolling but I bet there’s some that believe Destiny will bring back everything they miss from Halo 3.

But i buy the next Arena FPS in xbox, im tired of crap shooters…

You’ve never played an MMO then, thet are made to put time into playing.
To be honest, no I don’t. I’m not new to MMO’s. I play WoW so I know what to expect. That said I will be buying Destiny because it looks awesome.

The core Halo community wants that. 343i does not. I am moving on. Which is good if you think about it, I won’t be complaining here anymore.

I haven’t , Halo has always been my favourite game and fps my favourite genre.
I preordered it, I’m happy in general with everything in the gaming scene. I am going to continue to get the Halo games (if 343i releases an ODST2 using this new engine I will definitely get that) because I was honestly impressed with Halo 4, mostly because of the story and stunning visuals which both were the best in the series, but admittingly I am slightly disappointed in the MM.
Destiny will include “Faction Wars,” which you can find in the ViDoc, and that is where I think the competitive side will reside. One thing I am certainly loving about this new Bungie title is that it’s going to be social, you and your friends are in this together because there is going to be a “My Squad” function and you can create your own groups like “Pantz Guild” which was what the ViDoc showed.
I am so hyped for the future of gaming, Rainbow Six Patriots, Halo 5, and Destiny are super AAA titles.
I doubt that Destiny will have the same feel as Halo’s MM. It looks like an epic sci-fi rpg with fps elements which is more akin to Fallout or Borderlands rather than Halo. After watching the Vidoc, I’m definitely excited about the game.
It seems as though this thread would be more appropriate in the General Discussion Forum rather than the Halo 4 Forum.

We alreaqdy know 343 is heading a direction we don’t want it to go, might as well jump ship as soon as possible.

You know Destiny will be a class based shooter not an Arena shooter right.
The Vidoc was incredible and I’ll definitely be looking to get Destiny, but from what Bungie has said about the style of the game, people looking for something that Halo 4 supposedly lost will be disappointed again.
