You should be able to see your helmet from the inside. Just like it was in Halo 3/ odst. It made the game feel awesome, you really felt like the Master chief or the rookie.
With Halo reach we lost this feature (sadface). And I say that this feature should be back with Halo 4.
Ideas:
The “helmet” in the multiplayer should change depending on what helmet you’re wearing. But in the campaign it should stay the same (Mk VI, or whatever armor the chief gets).
> Wasn’t in Halo 3. Shouldn’t be in MP, would give you a disadvantage because it limits your line of sight.
It was in Halo3. In fact that was one of the first things I noticed sticking the game in for the first time. The only effect on your sight was that you had a transparent blue frame on the screen.

> The ODST HUD was definitely not in Halo 3…
It was basically the same thing only a different colour and shape.
I totally forgot about that. That was a pretty nifty feature, and it would be cool for it to change depending on your helmet.
But canonically, it doesn’t make much sense. I’m pretty sure Mjolnir helmets of all varieties have cameras that transmit visual data to the Spartans; they don;t actually look through the visors. Even if they did, it wouldn’t make sense for there to be a transparent blue outline outside the visor’s shape. The armored parts of the helmet probably aren’t see-through.
That being said, gameplay>canon, so I would be 100% down with this feature being included.
