When I cant unlock MP armors from the campaign by doing challenges/achievement hunting then you are preemptively devaluing my time spent in that game
Cant wait to play Halo Infinite for possibly hundreds of hours and get NOTHING but a goofy callsign for it
God forbid a game from a billion dollar company just gives us more for our money and decades long support.
Going off what multiple YouTubers have said that got to play the campaign, we’re gonna unlock stuff in the campaign. I don’t know about armor, but coatings, emblems, and nameplates are a definite. If you’re going off those “leaks” that came out awhile back, that’s already been proven to be false by the YouTubers who got to play and said there will be a lot more to unlock through collectibles in the game and probably challenges, something we know is in the campaign thanks to a 343i interview awhile back.
Yeah leaks definitely shouldn’t be taken as gospel. Sometimes people just want to watch the world burn and as such leak fake bad news.
Don’t get me wrong, some leaks are pretty accurate, but people seem to forget just how easy it is to fake information these days. I’m sure the leak was partially true, but after giving in to the fact there was campaign gameplay on YouTube, I saw several instances of armor coating and either charms or emblems being found in the world. I’d go out of on a limb and say that we’ll unlock the Mark VI armor core after being the campaign on legendary like in Halo 4 or 5.
It being partially true is exactly the issue. It was leaked as if it was every unlock for the campaign. There were rage threads over it. I say their goal was accomplished at causing mayhem.
Leaks are harmful because it is either outright false, partially true, or mostly true, but the biggest problem is that leaks ruin the developer’s opportunity to release the leaked information properly and with the right timing.
I agree. Leaks can make or break a game way before release. If enough leaks go around that are false but paint a bad picture, 9 times out of 10, that’s gonna cause people to lose interest quick.
