What if Halo had a VR Horror game where you were an ODST on a security duty to Installation 05 and found yourself suddenly in a flood outbreak on your section of the Halo, so you had to hide and be sneaky and occasionally go guns blazing in order to evade and escape flood infection while trying to do what you can to contain this outbreak with the assistance of an AI companion guiding you towards the means of escape and containment? The twist is that you were an Orion Project candidate like SgtMaj Johnson and had survived only because the Flood couldn’t infect you thanks to your augmentations; so ONI wants to take you in for research thus having an opportunity of three endings :
You die in your attempts to contain the outbreak. Noble Sacrifice ending. - You are captured by ONI after containing the outbreak and become their lab rat. Test Subject Ending. - You kill the ONI operative that has been after you, destroy the A.I. Companion, and contain the outbreak, going home to live out your life as you retire from the UNSC after signing an NDA. Out of Hell Ending.Whatcha guys think?

Ahhhhhh, righto then.
I’m currently waiting for my VR kit to be delivered, I was totally hoping for an awesome VR Halo experience. But oh well

Halo CE Anniversary
Saber Interactive made the Campaign - Certain Affinity made the Anniversary Map Pack for Reach - 343 did minimal work / design oversight as they were focusing all efforts on making Halo 4 and Halo 4 Spartan-Ops.Halo Spartan Assault and Halo Spartan Strike
Developed by Vanguard Games - 343 just did design oversight to ensure there wasn’t any lore contradictionsHalo 2 Anniversary
Saber Interactive made the Campaign (a lot better after the feedback after Halo CE Anniversary.) - Certain Affinity made the H2A Multiplayer off of the Halo 4 Engine - 343 did the rest of the MCC and failed to satisfy at first, and are only now fixing their mistakes and glitches with it.Halo Recruit
A VR Demo with a Halo skin to it made by Endeavor One - 343 had licencing oversightHalo Wars 2
Spearhead development done by Creative Assembly. - 343 wrote the story and did some help here and there, but most of the actual weight of game development was on CA.Halo Fireteam Raven
Developed by a partnership between Play Mechanix and Raw Thrills. - 343 did story contradiction prevention and some project oversight. All of the above were well received for the most part.
343’s only development on their own with little help was for Halo 4, Halo MCC (excluding H2A), and Halo 5 Guardians.
Those three had HORRIBLE REVIEWS AND RECPETION at launch. The only one to change is MCC thanks to recent content updates since 343 changed their gameplan from “one game per year” to “only good games from now on.”
They learned two lessons :
Quality over Quantity - Do not work with Brian Reed
Halo VR would be something I would definitely buy, and a horror genre halo game has been something I have been hoping for a while now as well. 343 has my money if they invest into this.
