You know whats awesome about the Spartan Ops screenshots of the new season?
the fact that 343 can show off their screens yet they wont let the community show off theirs, what with the confirmed "no campaign or spops theater and all (for now at least)…
I think they are just trying to suppress everyone’s e-peen so theirs will look the biggest…
To be real though, it feels like a slap in the face at this point…
how are you guys taking it?

they most likely can show off the screen because they have the developer tools for the game and can control he camera whoever they please. we most likely can’t see out spartan ops screens because it wasn’t scripted into the game.
as for how/why is wasn’t scripted into the games is beyond me. either time or hardware/software constraints/limitations. i doubt it was because they thought it would have a negative impact on the game or anything like that
Well, it just generally sucks that we can’t take screenshots or record clips from the Campaign and Spartan OPs.
Just another part of Halo 4 thats a disappointment. Well to me it is. May not be a big deal to some, but I loved taking screenshots using theater mode.
They said it was because there were rendering issues.
I don’t care about this. I have no interest whatsoever in re-playing the campaign or SPops.
However, I’m also not ignorant enough to leave my post there.
It doesn’t effect me, but it’s still something that should be in the game.
343i have implemented a lot of systems that we don’t like, but could get used to if given the chance. I don’t blame them for that. The only thing that I believe they can be blamed for is removing systems that everyone knows and loves, with no good reason.
Theater has been a huge part of the Halo community since Halo 3, and even before with the machinema’s and montages people with Capture Cards would create in Halo 2.
It is a disgrace that while having their games’ population drop, they are ignoring the things people agree would make the game better.

See, I actually understand in a business perspective, but with the timing of the post and the announcement of not supporting the theater it just didn’t jive well with me.

I have posted in agreement with a couple of topics today though for people asking for Theater to be added. I would like to see it to.

Oh come off it already. Why should they bother to go into the Halo 4 general discussion forum? They have told us what they can and they are keeping up much more informed since their vacation…and WAY more informed than Bungie did.
They seem to peruse the Matchmaking forum more often…because that’s where actual suggestions should be. Every single thread about changing stuff in MM on this forum is technically spam. It doesn’t belong here, and is far too frequent.
Make matchmaking requests in the matchmaking forum. They are listening and communicating. The problem is, the community isn’t.
The matchmaking forum is full of fun stuff…you should read it sometime…
P.S./On Topic. Sure it’s a bummer theater won’t be added to Campaign/SpOps, but it isn’t the end of the world. If you want to blame something, blame the 360. Halo 4 apparently pushes the limits of what the 360 can do, so rendering problems occur that make theater in those two modes not worth the trouble. It can’t handle having dropped weapons stick around for longer periods of time, even then the framerate goes wonky if too many people die in a short amount of time in one spot.
From what I understand 343 really tried to make it work, but it just isn’t going to happen. As someone stated above, they have developer tools that allow them to do pretty much whatever they want. That’s why they are able to post screenshots.

I actually do like many things about halo 4 as well and I do in fact make positive threads from time to time. This thread is just about one thing that irked me today, with some comedy ( glad you got a chuckle )!
