You know what would be good for the Yoroi Armor? Hayabusa Assets

For those of you who don’t know (for some reason), Bungie did some cross promotion with Team Ninja (the developers behind Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive). Dead or Alive 4 featured Spartan Nicole as a fighter in the game, while Halo 3 had a full set of armor for use on your Spartan :

Hayabusa.

The armor was supposed to make a comeback in Halo 4, but despite being fully modeled it was scrapped. It didn’t see a return in Halo 5 Guardians either. This was likely due to the fact that 343 Industries wasn’t able to make the magic happen like Bungie did back in 2007.

The unused armor render is in the images below. And I believe that with some minor tweaks, the helmet could be applied to the Yoroi armor core and as a chest-piece, we could see a Katana be donned on our Spartan’s backside like in the old days of Halo 3. The only issue of course is if 343 and Temco/Team Ninja can corroborate once more…

That or they could just use the design anyway and just rename the helmet to something like
“Bushido”
“Shinobi”
“Hanzo”
“Ninja”

Thoughts anyone?

Even if the armor is not canon for me it was one of the best armors in all the games and the Achilles from H5 and the best thing all time and effort reward.

I never knew Halo 4 was so close to getting Hayabusa let alone it being FULLY MODELED. Hayabusa was always something I had wished returned to Halo 4, yet I just had no idea we were, so unbelievably close.

Personally I’d love to see both Hayabusa, and Helioskrill return.

Isnt it copyrighted by Ninja Gaiden?

Yes and no.

The armor was designed as a mutual easter egg the companies did.
Dead or Alive 4 had Spartan Nicole as a fighter.
Halo 3 had Hayabusa armor, named after the ninja and the head crest of the helmet being an obvious giveaway.

If they cannot get the ability to use the name for the armor set, they can just rename it and use a modified version of the Halo 4 render in the links in my original post.
Call it something like “Honor Guard” or “Ninja” or something and call it good.

Would absolutely love that. Venator and Hayabusa are my two favorite armor sets
