This game. Sure it’s not as good as Halo 1, 2, and 3, but it’s still awesome. It’s certainly a big improvement from Halo 4, no offense to fans of that game.
I was born and raised in Ann Arbor. Have you been to the new Blimpy Burger yet?
I can happily say that I had fun playing through the campaign. I can also happily say that I don’t enjoy competitive multiplayer (in anything) as much as I did a few years ago.
The only improvement in halo 5 over halo 4 is the gameplay (which is still bad), the soundtrack and forge. Why Halo 5 is worse than halo 4
- Halo 5s story is an abomination and will take a miracle to fix which destroyed everything that happened in halo 4s excellent story - Halo 4 launched with full armour customisation - You could unlock certain armour from challenges (Mark VI, Wetwork) - Despite having a terrible MP Halo 4 was complete at launch with a fun variety of gamemodes - Halo 4 had Splitscreen - Halo 4 had character development and expanded on the characters of chief and cortana - Halo 4 had better graphics despite being an a last gen console and having a lower framerate and resolution - Halo 4 didn’t have false advertising - Halo 4 doesn’t have Microtransactions
I love Halo, all series and all games hope 343 learn from Halo 5 and make an awesome Halo 6.
i agree 343 are killing some of the great aspects of halo, when they need to look at how bungie did things.
343 are basically doing this just for the money, like dont get me wrong bungie did as well but they also cared for the players and made a game they knew people would want to buy and they would love making where as 343 are just trying to use halo as a quick money scam. its sad but halo might actually die out soon if 343 dont be careful
old halos feel weird now compared to H 5
i agree in some ways its nice to see the franchise moving forward and evolving but you cant ever beat the good days of halo 3 custom games and infection

Well said, pretty much sums up my thoughts. I love 343, but when Bungie did things it felt like it was by fans for fans. Now it seems like “here’s something that says Halo on it” Halo 5 is a good game, but there are a lot of wrong doings, missing features, and a ton of missed potential. Live and learn though, Halo 5 was a huge improvement over Halo 4 so I have very high hopes that Halo 6 will be a major improvement over Halo 5 and 4.
yeah what i think is they need to use the enthusiasm they had for halo 4s campaign and put that with the way they did halo 5s multiplayer and put a proper customization in, because they’ve took a step back in some ways from halo 4
I thought halo 5 was decent…but by far not the best halo

Minus the micro-transactions, this sums it up.

Fun campaign? Ar you sure you’re talking about Halo 5?

Yes, I played it on release day, not having listened to or watched anyone else’s reviews or opinions and without immediately dismissing Osiris because Blue Team only got 3 missions.
I went in on my own accord with an open mind and got a good time in return. I didn’t set expectations on what will happen, and what I’ll do if that doesn’t go my way. It also helps that I never put on the ever so blinding nostalgia goggles like most of the complainers.

Don’t confuse what people mean when they say “campaign” verses “story”. The campaign is a blast. The story is lacking. Like Halo 3. It’s not as boring as Halo 3, but it’s worse. I don’t know how they did it.
i agree the story was weak but the campaign was good.

I see what you mean. Thanks for clarifying!
And it would be even better if it didn’t 98% rely on online servers and had actual offline content.

There’s a major difference between gameplay and story, as Martini said. Personally, I loved Halo 3’s story and gameplay, but to each his own.
Gameplay-wise, the campaign was amazing. Story-wise? Lacking, as Martini said.

For me, Halo 3’s campaign feels like long stretches of kinda “meh” punctuated by intense moments of awesomeness (usually in vehicles). It’s weird, I don’t know how to properly explain it other than it goes from feeling like “this is the best Halo ever” to a complete slog every 10 minutes. Maybe it has to do with how many times I’ve played the damn game. I’ve probably played it as much as I’ve played CE and I’ve been playing that longer. Maybe it’s just getting stale to me
No, never! I didn’t say that! I’m gonna go play it right now! I’m so sorry, Halo 3!
