You know that guy behind the pillar that's one shot?

Breaking into onyx in a game that has no collison?

Like are you serious?

What exactly is “competitive” about arena WHEN IM PHASING THROUGH MY OWN TEAMMATES

so miss me with that “case closed” ish.

If you won’t 1v1 then your projecting.

If you can’t come up with an argument against my points. Your projecting.

Put up. Or sit down

That one guy behind the pillar? I believe his mother and I where locked in a relation for a while. Told him he could not watch

Sprint, thrusters, and other power ranger abilities isn’t “going back to Halo’s roots”.

Halos roots is in arena gameplay.

That involves power weapons, power ups and weapon pickups.

You know. What doom and qauke are known for. Halo is a momentum based movement shooter. All of Halo 5s ablities reacted off momentum and on top of that everyone had them. It doesn’t matter what the abilites we’re. The “roots” is the game play going back to that simple formula

Power ups

Power weapons

Weapon pickups.

THATS IT.

Equipment is FAR from what Halo is. Halo 3 had equipment but not one item did what the grapple did. Or the repulsor. Or the thrust. So if anything Halo infinite is the furthest away from what actually is.

Halo 5 is close

Halo 2 is the closest.

The “roots” start at equal starts. And then from there we can talk about what ablities are there. Halo 4, Halo reach, Halo infinite are all halos that are the farthest away from the traditional forumala.

God just stop clogging up these forums dude with this nonsense. People hated Halo 5, so much so, 34:3 literally had to change everything, gameplay, story, art style to bring the series back to it’s roots. You like Halo 5, but guess what. You’re in the minority bud

Sounds like someone’s salty they didn’t get to the pillar cover first lol

Practice and improve your aim with the grenades. Training mode is there for a reason. Think about other strategies to flush out or flank. There’s steps you can take to turn the tide in your favor once more. Thrusting behind a wall to avoid gunfire is no more sneaky than jumping sideways to avoid gunfire, than using the repulsor to knock back a sword attack or grenae, than hopping over someone to avoid a melee to… look, you get my point. If the strategies you’re using aren’t working, it’s time to switch something up.

Yeah there’s some technical bugs that cause issues, but if you’re not trying to use everything in your mental and in-game arsenal to help yourself and your team? That’s on you. Personally? I’m constantly asking for and taking advice from people who have been playing halo way longer than me. Tips, tricks, strategies, etc. Use a variety and think on your feet when you’re in a match. Adapt. Improvise. Overcome.

Disclaimer, I came from several cover-based shooters before launching into Halo so not using cover feels super weird to me. But it’s not like using cover is a bad thing? Some people really seem to act like using cover is cheating when it’s… absolutely not.

PS. I’m extremely curious though is this complaint specifically due to TacSlayer? because the spot on a certain map I’m thinking of isn’t invincible, I can get about two to three shots and then I gotta move before someone figures me out and backsmacks my -Yoink!- lmao especially if i’m scoped in

I already gave you examples that you refuse to cover.

Also I have more clips on the way. I can’t get all of it out in one day. I HAVE MULTIPLE CLIPS proving this. It’s ok. You wanna stick your head in the mud that’s fine by me. But inm going to prove without a shadow of a doubt that Sprint by itself ruins gameplay flow.

UMMMMM LITTERALLY ALL OF HALO 2 AND HALO 5.

yeah it’s been proven. For years now. That power ups, power weapons, and weapon pickups were all that were needed. It’s like you forgot the Halo 3 forge maps created for mlg. One map is litterally just about the BR and nothing else. So spare me with that ish

Oh yeahhhhh it’s so controlled
So what your telling me is that you can pick your spawn?

In the beginning you have one of 4 spawns to spawn from. You spawning at ethier one of them will result to a different distance to each item on the field
The game already started on a random factor.

Now when you die your items drop. Meaning any person can spawn near it and pick up. The same guy thats going 2 and 10 can pick up a grapple at spawn and make a play that wins the game with the grapple.

BUT NO. YOU DONT WANT TO TALK NUANCE. YOU DONT WANT TO TALK FINE DETAILS.

if your not equipped to talk about multiple scenarios then your not fit to have this conversation

If you don’t have map awareness and positioning AND skill jumps on a flat plain then I think you need to go back to training because you can do all 3 on flat ground.

I made the argument that equipment ON aysmetical maps is the worse offender here. Not that the maps are the sole reason for the imbalance.

The map with the sand. The one where you play flag on it. That map is still not balanced because one enemeny can spawn near the grapple or the reuplsor. There’s been so many times where I’m loosing the game and I get a leg up because I’m able to grab equipment off spawn and do work with it. Y’all are really underestimating the power of these equipment pieces. ONE grapple play can end the entire game

This is the worst example you have provided. As much as I hate Behemoth, it is the most balanced / symmetrical map in the game. The grapple & repulsor spawns are identical for both teams.

I don’t need practice. In fact I teach people how to play.

I win games just fine. I actually encounter all of this issues IN MY OWN GAMEPLAY.

I use Sprint slide to squirm away when I should be killed.

I use equipment to make game winning plays that I never should’ve made.

Don’t worry I’ve only released 5 gameplay videos so far and 3 of them are just gameplay and not trying to pelroge anything. I got a long laundry list of clips that I’m stacking up. All of them full of slimy Sprint plays and glitches, etc.

I’ll put it this way. There’s a sword on the map. You say switch up my strategy. I say double down on skill.

I refuse to play or do certain things in the game if I deem it to be non competitive. I don’t use the AR if I have to. I try not to nade spam. I try my hardest to play like a man and not a slime ball but this game gives me no choice sometimes with it’s double melee metas
Or the Sprint slide getaway.

So yes cover is bad in this game. Because no one likes people hiding behind walls. If your not engaging in a fight then your cowering in the dirt. There is no in between

Aren’t you a Diamond 5? In a ranking system that just hands out ONYX to anyone

So explain this then.

We are about to loose the game. All my teammates are dead.
I just spawned and right next to me a few feet away is the grapple.

I use the grapple to fly up to the flag carrier. I kill him.
Both flags reset because of this play.

We go into over time
We win the game.

That’s just ONE scenerio.

ONE.

Imagine the many others. You can’t defend this. There is no scenerio in which any movement equipment is balanced. None.

Okay…? This was your argument for unequal starts? Sounds like you made a really smart play there. The enemy has an equal chance of doing the same thing to your team

That’s the point of equipment.
It’s no different from weapon spawns.
You could just as easily have picked up the Sniper Rifle and stopped the flag from being taken, and if you’re the one trying to get the flag, taking the Grappleshot and Sniper Rifle would prevent them from being used against you.

Aren’t I diamond 5 IN A GAME THAT HAS NO COLLISION?

like are you serious?

WHY IS ONYX RANK IMPORTANT IN A NON COMPETITIVE GAME?

the BR is easy to use.

No collison.

Garbage maps.

Like who are you fooling here?. I don’t respect anyone’s rank in arena.

I don’t call anyone bad at the game either. Have you ever seen me make that point to anyone? No right? So why are you saying it? Why is he saying it? Because you can’t debate? So you have to bring up stats?

Lol. Even the most worst player has a right to speak about the game. I don’t call anyone bad unless they specifically challenged me to a 1v1. If I never beat seone. I’m not calling them bad. And if they never beat me they shouldn’t be calling me bad either.

All of this reeks of being unable to actually have a conversation. Y’all should come back when you have real arguments

“no different from weapon spawns”.

Comeback to me when a sniper can fling you across the map like the grapple can.

Weak argument. Your basically saying. “Ohhh equipment is there for fun”

Can someone help me decipher this pig latin.

What

It doesn’t need to because it can shoot whoever just flung themself across the map with a Grappleshot.
That said, the lift is what flings players across the map, not the Grappleshot.

They don’t have a chance. The play has already been made.

Oh you want me to point to a different scenario ?

I spawn near the repulsor.

The game is tied 0 - 0

The timer is about to run out.

My flag carrier is about to be back smacked and I swoop in and repulsor him away from my teammates back.

We cap the flag. We win the game.

Without the repulsor we would’ve went to a tied game.

There is literally no angle you can come from that makes equipment make sense. None. There will always be a scenerio where someone will have free equipment

This has absolutely nothing to do with equal starts

LMAO

The grapple can litterally platform you to different areas that a sniper can never reach.

So again.

Point me to a sniper that does what a grapple can do.

You can’t. They don’t make the same plays. They make different plays.
