First, what I was replying to was this so we are own the same page:

343’s been pushing this statement that Halo’s been always competitive, right to it’s conception. I’m saying esport competitive kind of levels. yet, it’s been said that CE (and with the rest of the Bungie games) have been conceptualized as Party Games. meaning they were gunning for creative ways to have fun with the sandbox. in doing so, competitive communities formed from these games, since people cared about the games. My point was because 343’s adamant move of “we got to make halo an esport. we have to make it an esport” is moreso harming the games. as now everything is centered around being a sport, instead of a sandbox. like an example would be assassinations, they say it was pointless for the game’s survival, but they were probably taken out because they hinder back slap. or the marketing for 5’s multiplayer, where it acted as if it was going to be the SuperBowl. yet player experience gets hindered. like every halo just dropping map voting, or party up feature in 3, or basically not even letting you interact with players before or after matches. remember you could check out other player’s spartans/elites and see how cool they were before games? or check out their stats beforehand? I can go further and explain how 4 didn’t pan out well, other than the normal “it CoD game, Not halo game” or 5 going “they jumped on Advance movement, games focused on squeezing money”.

Don’t you want to make a game that has good gameplay, gunplay, and sandbox, then having the community form the esport end of it? rather than pushing to make the game esport friendly? because when I hear a game wanting to be like an esport, I hear that they promote sweating in every game mode, casual or not.

tbh, he IS technically not far off. infinite’s sandbox can be ready for esports, but IMO i feel they need to stop gunning FOR esport.

I might want to add this but I don’t want to come off that I don’t want halo to thrive. I want it back on top like it use to be back when Bungie was around. however with them trying to get as many players as possible, and pushing an esport based mindset to creating the game, Plus with how it faired with the past 2 games, I dont really see them trying to make changes like these be a pro. I know there’s people that will go “well I like halo 4/halo 5” and that’s fine, you like whatever. frankly, I myself loved playing halo 5’s warzone and halo 4’s husky raid. but you cant put blinders on and not see what I’m talking about

It creats a culture that thrives on creation so its an organic and timless model .
In terms of money like i mentioned in previous post’s they can make a tier system where we pay for whatever tier of customisation we choos ie Spartan/Onyx/Legendary from the devs selection of armour we sart with just coating skins designe but ready made armour pieces then we can lean to actualy making the armour ourselfs like forge mode and yes we could have contests with a new shiny app would be awsome and ccan see this happening for the future as its a big money maker thats all about giving us the power to be creative nothing beats that model as its organic and timless and will be hugly addictive i dont mind paying but i wanna be in control of what i am creating.

@SpartyFrotch I think you might be over thinking this one my man it helps players know who’s helping who ! nothing toxic about it here if you wanna look at it like this then the guy getting the kill thinks he won the game on his own :joy: thats a fals beliefs being created and no recognition or respect for your team so i am very confused how its meant to be toxic …

Anyways i was not implying that stats are the defining reason for the Toxic vibes in halo ! thats to do with individual character its the image that it creates and false belief!
The kill should go to the team not any one individual you are getting that kill for the team not for yourself becasue its for the team right ! yea we have points system but its structured fundamentaly around your kills! the kill is over rated and im speaking from a very high kill report i am on the top 0.1 % . in rank i can go like 40 kills if i have more purpose to put the work in lol .

My point is we need to recognize the efforts of the team.
For instance the distance one travelled for me is important as i wanna play with others like me who are adventurous and like to explore ie infiltrate. another one is Distractions most players need a decoy! this stat for me and many others is also higly valuable and would like to think its as important as the kill!
If the distractor can stay alive in the proces thats biG for me also.
Who assisted who is so important but the poachers dont want people to know the truth behind the win so i can understand the reason why these stats dont exist because they tell another story.

Its a toxic world we live in unfortunately lets clean this all up 343i.

hmmm…tbh that would be an interesting idea. like parts of each cosmetic is customizable, like how Heroforge allows you to have a under and over shirt for your minis

it kind of falls in line with my idea of rehauling the coatings, where its colors + pattern + armor material + dirtyness, each part being customizable.

tho if this is the case, you have to make em cheap. i think a few weeks ago they put 2 shoulders that were rare and cost 75 credits. if we’d want something like us making our own parts, it be cheaper than that

BUT

if you want retention, they’d need free parts. frankly the store should have more exotic items (Like the Yoroi helm with bigger horns and teeth and have a glow effect at the tips) and more grounded items we earn (like the normal Yoroi)

If this is the case, I’m all for it. i think you calling it forge mode threw me off lol

Going into more details regarding Armour mode i feel you should have to pay more money for having the freedom to be creative ie actauly designing the armour from the ground up but that would be expensive option but available never the less! its that creation level you are paying for or just have 1 tier for everyone with the full power of creation and have season where you pay ever 3 months if you want the new stuff that is!
The price that would make sense is around £30 or so as long its rich with details its worth the dow i say!
its what we all want to create a new image and culture in halo just like forge but you would have to pay of coarse !

For it to be timless and indulging we have to have the power of creation we cant have devs making all of it for us ! because its obvious that we all wanna get involved and creat a true identity.

thats fair. however, you need to make it some form of consumer friendlyness. such as the price compared to a normal pieces. like if you split a chest into 3 parts with each piece being, and a normal piece is 100 credits, how much more expensive are you looking at? 50 a piece? 75 a piece? making them too high won’t do as good as if lets say you make them 40 a piece. as it would make people go “eh that’s cheap” several times over. + remember if we want the community to add to this, will they be putting their ideas into the store for free? or will 343 give a cut to them like Valve does/did?

furthermore A tier system doesn’t make sense. how would these tiers work? tier 1 only lets you change a few pieces? or do you have a set amount of edits per tier? would a tier 1 for everyone will just default to how we normally customize. what about if someone wants to try someone else’s build, yet they’re a tier 2 while the other is a tier 3? wont that cause fomo (something 343 promised not to do back before infinite’s release)? to add, the sub idea would crumble hard. with how content is being dripped out, 10 bucks a month for the ability to customize or to gain parts for building armor won’t be appetizing. what if you miss a month, will the parts be permanently unavailable?

again you would want free options for this with more exotic premium options, cause making it all paid will most likely make people not want to use it and go back to the normal customization. aka what you want of a impact like forge would fizzle out.


also i want to ad this as a note, while I’m writing this, you’re basically kind of asking for the attachment system that helmets have on every piece of armor. moreso an observation than anything

another note, me poking at everything isn’t me trying to be negative. I’m looking at this as both a fan of the game, a fan of customization, and on a business aspect to make both sides happy. when i say we need free stuff, its to give players a reason to play other than git gud

I may have come in at a good time all things considered. It was the winter pass, campaign unlocks and the free stuff I was already getting that had me buy the battle pass

The way i think this should be done @OnsideMammal94 is that we initially pay around £30 for the whole customisation/Amour mode option that stays with the player for good and get updated with improvments that you dnt have to pay for ! then when devs make new pieces we can choos if its somthing we want to add and should not cost more than around £12 ! so no you dont have to pay for every installment the players can make what he or she wants with no limite but size and data just like forge . but im sure everyone would jump at the chance of creating their own identity its a no brainer .

The other thing thats great about itis when one player has bought the armour mode then he or she can upload for their spatan team ! so no you dont all have to buy to wear the gear you would have to be on the spartan team to wear itor you could upload it for everyone its up to you .

Yea maybe it could be implemented this way also has to be worth devs time tho.

Yea its hit and miss for me not had much luck on this one i do feel playlist need to be stuctured around player count as its vital cog in building chemistry’s if im on my own i should not be matches against a full fledged team thats all im saying its simple fix that soothes allot of pain players are experiencing.

i do feel they could of imporved it and not just get rid of the idea because it was created for a very good reason to give players the ability to play to their true potential and have an identity of their own
im not saying do it the same way but use it with equipment only and if you get a frenzy for instance you get a choice of power weapon this would help thos ganges of bullies controlling power zone relentlessly there 2 ways we can do it and that make sure that team are playing againt alike teams or change the way we earn advantages the simple fix would be sort out the playlists lol but here we are talking about all kinds of stuff related hahah

I might of not made my self that clear enough sorry for that! i am speaking for Rank only as thats all i play because social does not have a br exclusive playlist unfortunately .
I only come on Halo to get sweaty and if im not getting sweaty then i get off just the way im built unfortunately lol.
I wanna be challenged repectfuly in a fair inviroment thats all im asking here no personal agendas just for the good of the game.

I have around 84.000 kils and same of deathes in Rank so im sure somthing wrong here!
MOst of my deaths are lack of team help on objectives and to win the game im having to commit to the objective the whole game somtimes well most of the time we need players to play an honest game and not worry about there KD so much its a burden on the objective lol thats the truth from experience i guess . your kd means nothing if you are loosing the game players just dont care about the win its more about them and not the team output unfortunately thats what the KD system carries and its notgood vibes and is giving off the wrong messages.

Wow you have a vivid imagination i see lol well i dont think things like that would be allowed hahahah anyways its going to happen at one point and hope it gets on board sooner than leter its a big idea but it will take this game to new hights never seen before.

Less imagination, more experience. Ive seen it in games before plenty if times. I guess my point is, how would you go about enforcing it if someone can always just make a new profile and do it again?
