I can’t play custom games because this prompt always shows up when I try to load in. I figured it’s just because people aren’t on the Xbox live network but I don’t understand why IM having a problem with this. Help?
I have a couple of recommendations:
Go wired, with an open NAT
Try the following settings on your router configuration:
- Give the xbox a unique assigned IP address. - Turn off automatic UPNP - Create a port forwarding rule for the ports required to use XBL
- Port 88 (UDP) - Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) - Port 53 (UDP and TCP) - Port 80 (TCP) - Port 500 (UDP) - Port 3544 (UDP) - Port 4500 (UDP)4. Select the XBOX One as the Host for the above ports
I also quit out of the game when I finish.
Good luck.
What do I do if my NAT type is moderate? And how do I turn off auto UPnP?

You have to go into router settings under port management or similar. You go into router settings by putting in the routers ip address, 192.168.1.1 in the url bar of your browser. Here is an article My port management settings have an option that says Allow network devices to automatically configure UPnP services (Recommended) Removing the check box for that will remove the capability. If you are able to configure the ports as in the instructions, you will likely get an open NAT.
I tried to assign the Xbox it’s own IP address but I wouldn’t let me. I also tried to match the IPv4 info to the one on my phone and that didn’t work.
Restart it and check again
Let me know if it worked or not
As we all know, the IP address ‘192.168.0.1‘ is a default IP that is utilized by most broadband routers like D-link, Netgear, etc for the purpose of configuring routers. Some other addresses like ‘192.168.2.1 ‘ and ‘192.168.1.1‘ are used in other brands of routers available at
You can go to port management in your router’s setting. Most of the router uses 192.168.1.1 IP address to open router config. page. You can check my guide on router’s IP addresses here
