You Had One Job, 343i

All Halo Infinite had to do was offer a Classic style of gameplay based on either Halo 2 or 3. With this recent job opening for someone who understands Player Psychology with experience on designing “Live Services” and Microtransactions is waving the final red flag I need to finally leave any new Halo games alone for good.

You want player psychology? I’m not buying this or any future Halo installment or merchandise unless you can ditch this Live Service approach VERY quickly and just make a game people can sit down to and play with forking out extra cash for basic features that Bungie never put behind a paywall and isn’t required to have an edge in gameplay, otherwise I hope you get wrecked by the law and investigations countries are starting to launch to outlaw Lootboxes.

There will be no loot boxes, only (maybe) microtransactions.

“Keep the faith”, something I’m struggling to do right now.

“no real-money loot boxes”, that still leaves the door open for VIRTUAL CURRENCY loot boxes. Playing Semantics is the most important skill in PR.

Yeah, well I personally don’t believe there will be loot boxes at all in Halo Infinite. And especially not with all this law-things going on.

I think he would have mentioned it in the interview in that case. But I guess we’ll see in the future. If it’s pay to win, they will lose any community they won back recently, so it’s a bad move if they choose that.

But as we know, it’s all about the money.

“Classic style” gameplay would cause the game to die on arrival. The reason Halo’s gameplay has changed over the years is to stay relevant. We’ve moved past the slower paced gameplay of Halo 2 and 3 and it just wouldn’t survive in todays multiplayer climate.

We’ve already got a few open topics on these discussions. Feel free to continue in one of the active ones, thanks
