This is a planned live service game for the next 10 years… it will def have campaign dlc instead of coming out with a whole new halo game… unless you want to wait ten years to get the pay off for the tease at the end of the campaign
just take off the h at the beginning of the link and that’ll do (a common method to circumvent that link nonsense)
Now I am no expert on UI, but launch playlists (which would be relevant to MP UI) probably has next to no impact on Campaign UI. Campaign UI (for example) is more akin to those waypoints that point you in whatever direction they want you to go in, I just don’t see many limitations with the current system we have.
Also, I checked reddit and could not find anything that was related to Campaign, Ske7ch I don’t think has mentioned anything.
I heard fiesta, SWAT, and FFA are coming by the end of the year. So excited. 7 game modes are enough for a few months honestly. I am not a fan of whining to 343 for the lack of content, because imagine if one of the people whining would have to now lead the whole game, how would that feel. Always think of what the game DOES have, not what the game DOESN’T have.
They are coming Tuesday, just so you know.
: D So cool! I really like FFA, favorite halo gamemode!
Oh, never knew. I am pretty sure they didn’t make a full gravemind though. Just a proto one.
OP
Yes. I mean there’s way more Flood references in the game and the Harbinger even quotes the Gravemind with the:
“Now I shall talk and you shall listen.” when interrogating a human who then goes mad.
Plus talking about ancient conflicts you barely comprehend.
They might well be something new. But they probably are agents of the Precursors. Perhaps a contingency in case they were to fail in their war with the Forerunners. They might be totally oblivious that their masters have become the Flood; or worse they know and believe they can “ascend”.
Plus it would be criminal, with all the Cortana flashbacks if we don’t get the Gravemind trying to twist her mind. That’s too convenient.
the biome they have been dropped in with the Sandstorms looks quite, um, ominous. Floating squid creatures don’t really fit that kind of setting.
I reckon they will trick you into thinking the Endless have been released so go in expecting squid people and surprise it’s the Flood.
The only curveball is the time travel business. It means anything could happen. That gives me pause.
Just in general though I think 343 has a lot on its plate. So it could be quite sometime until we hear about the campaign expansion.
But couldn’t the Precursors create a species immune to the effects of Halo? A contingency to work in the shadows and ensure their return but the Forerunners found them?
Not really if you think about it, the whole thing about them is their ability to create stuf with some sort of setience, even their structures and objects, wich all are affected by the array. However their countiesness seems to be independent from a physical form in some way in some occasions, theoretical they might be able to reapear in some way… propably… at this point its just speculation but still, they would be effected and die by the array
-Listen for the amount of times 343 has done something and not continue with their original idea has put me with zero trust for the studio.
-This also means they plan for Halo Infinite to be successful, and it hasn’t meant that mark for a lot of people. When the headlines from gaming articles read how great it is, but over half of the community isn’t happy with it means there is an issue.
-Halo Infinite had 6 years of planning, during the 3th leaning into the 4 year of planning the game was changed a lot. (This isn’t the first time we had information like this for 343’s Halo) Now this was for the better, the issue however is that they are not sitting down and flushing out a story at the start. (Most likely they have been rushing into them).
So yeah, I get what you are saying. You have a very very true point. However, the game is still laughable. The story from the 4-6(infinite) is all over the place. They cut out Cortana’s story. Then needed saving for this story. The MP alone almost made the game fail.
I have no doubts it will get dlc for multiplayer and other activities, but for story is a big old maybe.
Due to the nature of the live service component of Infinite and given that 343i has brought the flood into the contemporary narrative via Awakening the Nightmare in Halo Wars 2, and because the Flood are a very liked “sub-brand” within Halo, I think it’s likely we will see the flood in the next ten years.
Do I think we will see them as soon as the next DLC/narrative installment? No, I don’t think so. I think exploring who the “The Endless” are and what is happening with the Banished on the rest of Zeta plus the state of the UNSC post the events of Infinite will happen first.
Yes, I recall seeing a flood pod infector sealed a cylix. now to restart and find it again.
Ah, you must be referencing “The Shaping Sickness” DLC releasing May 15, 2022 at 10am PST.
I think there’ll be dlc because it said explore the vast sized halo ring and we only got a small part and the multiplayer combined with the campaign was supposed to be like 70GB but we only got like 48 also you find out atriox is still alive as for the flood i think it would be cool but i think that would be later on
You probably just forgot. It’s been shown since the very beginning. Atriox lifts the hologram of it up after tasking the brothers to go there and in the mission briefing they tell you that they are ready to go to high charity
Maybe but not likely, they were all but extinct millions of years before the first ring was ever tested, and the only three past that point are dead
I want to fight the Flood so bad
What 's being contained on Zeta Halo is the Endless, not the Flood. I have no clue who or what the Endless are, and I’m pretty sure no one does.
There is still the possibility of the Flood returning, but the main focus of any DLC is almost definitely going to be the Endless.
It’s a T for Teen Halo game it’s not looking good for the flood. Im staring to think Creative Assembly had more to do with bring the flood back and not 343.
