I am outraged to witness this. You guys have killed a once mighty franchise and because of you guys the competitive community is dead Halo 4 is terrible. It is bad and because of that we can’t handle this game anymore. We want to move on and that is a fact. If you disagree with me then shame on you 343i because you have destroyed halo completely to its roots and I am outraged!!!

Actually, that is false.
Bungie killed it with Arena in Halo Reach, facts are facts. Thus, competitive play was dead upon arrival in Halo 4.However,life support may be on its way with the CRS, perhaps…

Sometime later this year a ranking system similar to Halo 3’s 1-50 system will arrive, along with an MLG playlist (hopefully) and modified content and settings for other playlists to make them more competitive.

well hopefully the 8 people still playing this game by the time it gets fixed will be online at the same time so they can get a full game going

I completely agree. I loved the campaign but then when I went to play the multiplayer I just sank in my seat. It’s even worse than Reach. If I wanted to play a game that was just like COD, I’d play COD. I really thought they would get back to the Halo 3 multiplayer style, but I was horribly wrong.

I read this opinion all the time, halo1-3 were loved and reach was terrible. Why did 343 include the dmr, boltshot, specializations, AA, and ordinance drops??? It makes no sense at all, at least they should have had a classic playlist from the day of release that was oldschool halo, br start designated weapon and spawns, being able to pick up grenades, guns not instantly disapearing after death, the ability to drop the flag, no promethian weapons, no ordinace, no specializations, no aa just none of the bs they added that keeps this game from being halo. They shouldn’t even call this halo.

Firstly, I know your talking about the MLG community, so I’ll address the ‘competitive community’ as MLG.
How so? How can a player base, outside of abusing game mechanics, kill a franchise? People are playing Halo games across the board, they are enjoying the settings present in all of them, and overall, 343 and Halo 4 is doing just fine.

Ok, now I understand what your angry about.
For those of you who are still confused, MLG CEO Sundance tweeted that the MLG circuit has a technicality to work around to have Halo 4 on their circuit. This is due to a contract between 343 and Microsoft. MLG pro Ninja popped up a video that has some pretty nice advice for you to follow OP.
The fact is, its one of the few times I agree with him. Relax. 343 has expressed interest in supporting the competitive scene with the ranking structure coming up, giving a playlist designed around old settings, and lastly that they have stated numerous times they would like to work with MLG in the future.

Relax, pop on whatever Halo you like, and go shoot someone in the head. Halo 4 currently has a daily challenge resolved around that.

There’s a entire thread on them, and what are you talking about? They’re pretty much a classic Halo playlist with a few MLG style changes.
I personally, love the new setting and can’t wait to see MLG join the Halo 4 MM choices.
Nope, Halo 4 is not that bad. If the “competitive community” doesn’t like it they can move on. This game is just as much Halo to me as any other release in the series.

Play a game of 2v2 Prisoner on Halo CE and tell me Halo 4 isn’t that bad. It’s a proverbial dump on the Halo franchise.
