okay, dw this will go to halo but first, i just want to know how many are going for an xbox because i want it so badly but this online locking thing is you dont connect it once every 24 hours is putting me off the trading in thing doesnt bother me cos i buy new games
anyway, halo 5 is the ONE game i want to go for if i get the xbox one purely because i have faith in 343i this time, i think they learnt an awfull lot from H4 and they will listen to us more straight away and i just think theyll do really well and make it a cross between halo 4 and 3 with its own twist, which is what we need!!
thoughts?
Yes! Already pre ordered. Cannot wait. Console looks sick. I am most excited to get rid of ādisksā altogether. I can install my game on the console then toss that puppy away. I hate disks and love the cloud. MS was very innovative this time around. Heck my computer no longer even has a dvd drive, this isnt 2007.
Just saying though, it is not backwards compatible. You still would have to keep the Xbox 360 and all of those discs. I did not much care for the 360 (sold it) and I am not going to buy the Xbox 1. Despite having the cloud, you still have to buy all your games again. I personally think itās stupid to either maintain two separate systems or to buy all the games again. It just seems like a waste of money.
Thank goodness that Halo 5 isnāt coming out on Xbox One release day⦠That would have bummed me out. I want at least some time to let people buy it, explore it a bit, etc. The 24 hour thing bugs the hell out of me, the 24/7 camera and voice record is also a no-go, but Iām hoping someone will come with a guide to take or disable some of the stuff out of the Xbox, then I MIGHT consider buying it. Halo is the only reason for buying the Xbox (since most other games are cross platform), but yeah. One of my favorite reviewers got a review with the xbox makers, so Iāll watch that too and get a feel of if I want to get it.
Maybe when MS changes their tune about constant connection, among other things.
As it is, I have a PS4 preordered. I like my disks just fine, as it means that I can play the game whenever I want to, and donāt stand to lose access to it if I lose my Xbox account.
Iād take the Xbox One over the PS4 any day! I donāt have it pre-ordered yet, but Iāll pick it up sometime.
I wish people would give it a chance. If the 24 hour check and the used games thing doesnāt effect you drastically, I donāt see anything wrong with it. And Kinect, always on? Put a cloth or something over it if youāre that paranoid!
Iām not sure whether I will pick up the Xbox One over another console or not. As of now, I am leaning more towards not. All of the non-gaming features that the Xbox One offers are not much of a selling point for me. Why should I buy an Xbox One for multimedia features that are already offered on the PC in my living room? Really, the selling point for me would be the games themselves. This next coming Halo game will have to be pretty damn good to get me to purchase a $500 console that offers the same features as my other devices.
I know the Xbox One is getting a lot of bad press due to its polices on trading games and lending games. And its 24hr check.
But I really only play 2 games. Halo and Battlefield (BF) and am always online.
I will be buying the Xbox One at launch for BF4. I just hope Xbox One does not have the same hardware problems as the 360 had with the Red Rings of Death. MS should have learnt from this.
For me to buy a PS, would have to be a sad sad day.
Thereās no way iām gonna be getting it this year at least, gonna wait it out till next year probably when they start working out problems with the console and it gets a price drop. Also gonna wait to see the direction Halo 5ās taking before I get one.
I“m sorry but I can“t stand the fact that I“ll be supporting Microsoft with the bull**** they“ve done if i buy a X1.
First of all is the 24H online check which many of the X1 buyers consider not that bad because of that old arguement: āWell, everyone should have a good internet connection now, its the year 2013ā¦ā
But what if your provider goes down for a few days because of issues/changes that need to be made?
Next, and for me the most awful thing ever invented in terms of privacy is Kinect -.-
Yeah, there are those fanboys who might say āHey u can turn it off or place some clothes or a carton in front of it. DONĀ“T BE SO SUSPICIOUS !!!ā.
Those are probably the most awful people ever and the ones who do not care that they are supporting a future with this crap in it.
If all those guys would read news, they might know that there is quite a huge outrage concerning the NSA and other agencies who spy on nearly everyone.
So if you turn your sensor of can u be a 100% sure that it is really āoffā ?
Do you really know that you are putting a high resolution camera into your apartment that can scan the room perfectly ?
I think that everyone who says things like āWell I have nothing to hide, so I see no problem with Kinectā is someone who canĀ“t look at things in a (good) critical wayā¦
Also another question is: Why can“t I remove Kinect completely from the console ? It should be an OPTIONAL device, not a possible StaSi-Camera 2.0
Next, you pay a 100 bucks more for all those restrictions and can be seriously happy about it ? Maybe you should spend that money to some acutally useful organization -.- Think about it.
Remember, you also invest in the future, because IF MS sees that their system is selling as expected, they will continue on that way and in a decade we“ll have StaSi-Box 2.0 with 8 cameras needed to be placed in your room xD
Oh and by the way, do u really think that Halo (5?) will be that great ? Remember, it“s a business they“re in.
The trailer looks like Halo merged with Star Wars and Transformers -.-
Am I getting a X1 for a definitly curious Halo: Definitely not.
